U današnje vrijeme Ëesto

Ëujemo pojam arena

koji je vezan za športske

dvorane. Tako se kaže: ‘’ZapoËela

je gradnja arene!” ili „Arena

je spremna za natjecanje!“ ili

„Gledatelji u areni su zadovoljni!’’. Kakvo je znaËenje taj pojam imao u prošlosti?

Arena, -ae, f. - latinski: pijesak, hrvalište. U širem smislu taj pojam znaËi: borilište, pozornica,

poprište, mjesto na kojem se vode borbe, bojno polje, bojište. »esto Ëujemo “Arena u Puli”, ali

i “pulski amfiteatar”. Amfiteatar doslovce znaËi dvostruki teatar, tako prozvan jer je nastao

spajanjem dvaju teatara koji su se u antiËkoj GrËkoj sastojali od polukružnih koncentriËnih redova

stubišta za sjedenje, dok je u sredini bila orhestra i žrtvenik gdje su se odigravale sakralne predstave.

NajveÊi je amfiteatar - arena Kolosej u Rimu. Kolosej je amfiteatar Flavijevaca, tako nazvan zbog

golema Neronova kipa, zvanog Kolos, koji je bio postavljen u blizini. Izgradnja je zapoËela 72. za

Vespazijana, a završena 80. za njegova sina Tita, koji je odredio sto dana sveËanosti za proslavu tog

dogaaja. Mogao je primiti 50 000 gledatelja. Priredbe su se sastojale od borbi meu gladijatorima

(robovi obuËeni za borbu), lova na divlje zvijeri (dopremljenih u Rim iz dalekih krajeva), brodskih

ili pomorskih bitki za Ëiju simulaciju se arena ispunjavala vodom. Napokon, to je bilo mjesto gdje

su muËeni i prvi kršÊani. Da bi se prisustvovalo predstavama, ulazilo se kroz arkade u prizemlju, a

potom se penjalo stubama koje su vodile k razliËitim odsjecima gledališta (cavea) od kojih je svaki

bio odreen za pojedini društveni sloj. Prvi je bio namijenjen caru i vestalkama, potom su se redali

ostali odsjeci sve do posljednjeg, gdje su sjedili plebejci (puËani).

Amfiteatar u Puli po veliËini je šesti u svijetu. Mogao je primiti 23 000 gledatelja. Sagraen je na

mjestu manjeg amfiteatra iz Augustinova doba, proširen za cara Klaudija, a posljednje je zdanje iz

vremena Flavijevaca (godine 69. - 81.).

Nowadays we can very

often hear the term

“arena“ referring to sport

halls. So it is usually said, “The

construction of the arena has

begun!”, or “The arena is ready

for the competition!”, or perhaps

“The spectators in the arena are satisfied!”. What meaning did that term have in the past?

Arena, -ae, f. in Latin meant: sand, wrestling yard. More widely, that term has different meanings:

battleground, stage, scene of action, a place where battles take place, battle-field, battle area. Very

often we hear “The Arena in Pula”, but also “The amphitheatre in Pula”. The word amphitheatre,

literally meaning double theatre, got its name because originally it had been created by merging of

the two theatres that in Antique Greece consisted of semicircular concentric lines of stairways for

sitting, while in the middle there were the orchestra and the altar where sacral plays took place.

The biggest amphitheatre is the Colosseum in Rome. The Colosseum is the amphitheatre of the

Flavian dynasty, named after the huge Nero’s statue called Colossus that was situated nearby. The

construction started in 72 during the emperor Vespasian, and finished in 80 during his son Titus,

who ordered one hundred days for celebrating that event. It could welcome 50 000 spectators.

The performances consisted of gladiator battles (slaves trained for combat), wild game hunting

(animals brought to Rome from far-away regions), and ship or sea battle simulations whereby the

arena had to be filled with water.

Finally, it was the place where the first Christians were tortured. In order to take part in the

performances, one had to go through the arcades on the ground floor, and then climb the stairs

that led to the different sections of the auditorium (cavea), each one intended to be used by a

certain social class. The first one was intended for the emperor and the Vestal Virgins, followed by

other sections all the way to the last one where the plebeians used to sit (ordinary citizens).

The amphitheatre in Pula is the sixth biggest in the world. It could accept 23 000 spectators. It

was erected on the site of a smaller amphitheatre from the time of Augustus, widened during the

reign of Claudius, representing the last building from the reign of the Flavian dynasty (69-81).

everything we do, there have been certain misunderstandings and hasty conclusions

I am drawing attention of everybody watching our work to the fact that hidden from the eyes and

The fundamental rock of all relations in our Academy is trust, without which there is no real, sincere

U organizaciji Rukometne akademije „IzviaË“ u Ljubuškom je održan „Uskrsni turnir“ za uzraste 1994. i 1992. godišta pod geslom „Mladima s

ljubavlju“.U mlaem uzrastu (1994. godište i mlai) nastupile

su ekipe Rukometne akademije „IzviaË“, »apljine, Zrinjskog i Koteksa iz Splita. Pobjednik u ovom uzrastu bio je Koteks, koji je u finalu pobijedio »apljinu s 31:30 tek nakon izvoenja sedmeraca, a u regularnom dijelu bilo je 24:24.

U utakmici za treÊe mjesto RA „IzviaË“ bila je bolja od Zrinjskog. Za najboljeg igraËa turnira proglašen je Igor MihanoviÊ (Koteks), najbolji strijelac bio je Igor Soldo iz Zrinjskog (21 gol), a epitet najboljeg vratara ponio je Ivica ©imiÊ (Koteks).

The Handball Academy “IzviaË” organized the “Easter tournament” in Ljubuški for the age groups 1994 and 1992, the motto of which was

“To the young with love”. The teams of the Handball Academy “IzviaË”,

»apljina, Zrinjski and Koteks from Split played in the younger age group (1994 and younger). The winner in this age group was Koteks, who beat »apljina in the finals 31:30 after seven-meter shots, and after the regular time it was 24:24.

In the match for the third position, the HA “IzviaË“ was better than Zrinjski. Igor MihanoviÊ (Koteks) was declared the best player of the tournament, and the top scorer was Igor Soldo from Zrinjski (21 goals), and the title of the best goalkeeper was given to Ivica ©imiÊ (Koteks).

When it comes to the age group 1992/93, a team from the Handball Academy “IzviaË” was ranked first having won Jerkovac from MetkoviÊ in the finals. The third position belonged to Koteks, who were better than Cepelin from Banja Luka. The best goalkeeper was Drago Kaleb (Jerkovac), and Josip PeriÊ from the HA “IzviaË“, with 16 goals scored, was the top scorer, as well as the best player of the tournament.

Nakon odigranih utakmica, za polaznike Rukometne akademije „BaliÊ-MetliËiÊ“ iz Splita organiziran je posjet svetištu sv. Ante na Humcu, gdje su gosti razgledali postavku muzeja u sklopu samostana. O znaËenju postavke, kao i pojedinih eksponata govorili su: fra Milan JukiÊ, kustos muzeja i prof. Drago GrgiÊ, predavaË u Rukometnoj akademiji „IzviaË“ Ljubuški.

Voditelji Rukometne akademije „BaliÊ-MetliËiÊ“ - Nikola ForetiÊ, prof. kineziologije i trener Željko BabiÊ zahvaljuju na dobrom prijamu u Ljubuškom.

Prof. ForetiÊ upisao se u Knjigu dojmova, a potom izjavio: „Dobro je da djeca putuju, igraju, druže se. U pitanju su dvije rukometne akademije i naše povezivanje je logiËno. Vidim da dobro radite. Ovo je prvi put da smo uz rukomet vidjeli i jedan kulturni spomenik (Muzej na Humcu). Dvije akademije moramo još više povezati, suradnju obogatiti, a sve u cilju zdravog odgoja mladih.”

The best player of the tournament was Marin MariÊ from the HC “MetkoviÊ“.

The top scorer of the tournament, with 13 goals scored, was Mario Pavlak from the HA “IzviaË“ TU from Vitina.

After the matches had been played, there was

an organised visit to the Shrine of Saint Anthony in Humac for the attendants of the Handball Academy “BaliÊ-MetliËiÊ” from Split, where the guests could see the exhibits of the Museum within the monastery. The meaning of the setting as well as the exhibits was explained by fr Milan LonËar, custodian, and profes-sor Drago GrgiÊ, lecturer at the Handball Academy “IzviaË” Ljubuški.

The leaders of the Handball Academy “BaliÊ-MetliËiÊ” - Nikola ForetiÊ, professor of kinesiology, and coach Željko BabiÊ thanked for being welcomed in Ljubuški. Professor ForetiÊ signed up the Book of Impressions and thereby stated, “It is good for chil-dren to travel, play, spend time together. Here we have two handball academies and our linkage is logi-cal. I see that you are working well. This is the first time we have seen a certain cultural monument (The Museum in Humac), apart from playing handball. We must link the two Academies to a greater extent, enrich the cooperation, all in order to bring up the young healthily.”

U nešto više od 50 godina postojanja kroz RK „IzviaË“ prošlo je više generacija nadarenih rukometaša. Ipak, jedno ime treba posebno

istaknuti. RijeË je o Mladenu ©korputu, vrataru koji je za skaute nastupio preko 500 puta, a od aktivnog igranja rukometa oprostio se u 42. godini. Svojim obranama, pozitivnošÊu i zalaganjem Ëesto je dizao publiku na noge.

Mladenov prvi sport bio je nogomet?‘’Pokušao sam kao vratar u FK „Velež“, no nisam za-

dovoljio. Nakon toga potpuno se posveÊujem rukometu. Svoje prve nastupe zabilježio sam još kao srednjoškolac u generaciji Tonke SpajiÊa, Rude BeÊiroviÊa, itd., u ligi u kojoj su nastupali klubovi Hercegovine i Dalmacije.’’

Nedugo zatim svojim obranama postali ste prvo ime IzviaËa. Uslijedili su pozivi mnogih klubova?

‘’U sezoni 1977./78. odlazim u Ëapljinski Borac koji je tada igrao u Drugoj ligi Jugoslavije i ostajem dvije godi-ne. Imali smo strašnu generaciju: ©evko, BebiÊ, Repeša, itd. Igrali smo polufinale Kupa Jugoslavije u kojemu smo poraženi od banjaluËkog Borca predvoena Arslana-giÊem i RaenoviÊem.’’

Kupa Europe, mnogi Êe reÊi da je vaša generacija poËetkom osamdesetih bila još i bolja. „IzviaË“ je u sastavu: ©korput, MuciÊ, Sušac, Nikolac, MarkiÊ, »olina, KonjhodžiÊ, Papac, MišetiÊ, NižiÊ, sve svoje protivnike u to vrijeme pobjeivao s lakoÊom, s deset i više pogodaka razlike?

‘’Tri sezone zaredom bili smo najbolji klub u Jedinst-venoj republiËkoj ligi Bosne i Hercegovine. Nismo imali dvoranu, što je bio glavni uvjet za nastup u Drugoj ligi Jugoslavije’’.

Nakon domovinskog rata, zajedno sa Stanislavom MuciÊem i Nevenkom Hercegom obnavljate rad RK „IzviaË“?

‘’VeÊ tada imali smo viziju europskog IzviaËa. Oku-pili smo sve bivše igraËe i zapoËeli s radom. Na trenin-gu uoËi utakmice s visoËkom Bosnom za prvaka BIH, 17. svibnja 1998., slomio sam nogu - što je znaËilo kraj moje igraËke karijere. Poslije toga, u prvom europskom nastu-pu IzviaËa u Kupu gradova protiv LovÊena oprostila se cijela generacija od aktivnog igranja. Naglasio bih da sam još jednu sezonu proveo i u Meugorju kao igraË-trener (sezona 1995./96.) s kojim sam zauzeo drugo mje-sto, iza IzviaËa.’’

Po završetku igraËke karijere ostajete i dalje u rukometu kao trener vratara?

‘’Mirko AliloviÊ - vratar hrvatske reprezentacije, Ma-rin ©ego( RK Zagreb CO), Milan ToliÊ (Varteks) moji su proizvodi. Za Marija Prskala, sadašnjeg vratara IzviaËa i juniorske reprezentacije Hrvatske, još Êe se Ëuti’’.

Radili ste i kao trener vratara u reprezentaciji Bosne i Hercegovine?

‘’U kvalifikacijama za Europsko prvenstvo u ©vicarskoj radio sam s TahiroviÊem, Grahovcem i AliloviÊem. Repre-zentacija Bosne i Hercegovine ima kvalitetne vratare’’.

U posljednje vrijeme HRK „IzviaË“ oslanja se uglavnom na igraËe ponikle u vlastitim redovima. ©to mislite o Rukometnoj akademiji „IzviaË“?

‘’Oduševila me ideja o pokretanju i osnivanju Rukometne akademije, pravi potez. To imaju samo veliki klubovi. Rezultati mladih uzrasta IzviaËa sve govore. Za buduÊnost rukometa u Ljubuškom ne treba brinuti’’- optimistiËan je ©korput.

In a bit more than fifty years of the Handball Club “IzviaË“ there have been many generations of talented handball players. However, one name must

be particularly emphasised. It is Mladen ©korput, the goalkeeper who played more than 500 times for Scouts and said goodbye to the active handball playing at the age of 42. Very often he made the spectators rise with his defences, positivism and efforts.

Mladen’s first sport was football?‘’I tried as a goalkeeper in the FC “Velež“, but I

didn’t satisfy. After that, I devoted myself completely to handball. I had my first appearances as a high-school student in the generation of Tonka SpajiÊ, Ruda BeÊi-roviÊ, etc., in the league in which the clubs from Herce-govina and Dalmatia took part.’’

Soon after that, thanks to your defences, you became the first name of IzviaË. What followed were the invitations of many clubs?

‘’During the season of 1977/78 I went to Borac from »apljina who at that time played in the Second league of Yugoslavia, where I stayed for two years. We had an amazing generation: ©evko, BebiÊ, Repeša, itd. We played in the semi-finals of the Cup of Yugoslavia, where we were defeated by Borac from Banja Luka, who were lead by ArslanagiÊ and RaenoviÊ.’’

Although IzviaË played in the semi-finals of the Cup of Europe in the season of 2003/04, many will say that your generation at the beginning of the 1980s was even

better. “IzviaË“ who had ©korput, MuciÊ, Sušac, Nikolac, MarkiÊ, »olina, KonjhodžiÊ, Papac, MišetiÊ, NižiÊ, … at that time beat all their opponents quite easily, with ten or more goals?

‘’During three seasons consecutively we were the best club in the Unitary Republic League of Bosnia and Hercegovina. We did not have a sports hall, which was the main condition to play in the Second Legaue of Yu-goslavia.”

After the Homeland War, together with Stanislav MuciÊ and Nevenko Herceg, you renewed the work of the HC “IzviaË“?

‘’As early as then we had the vision of the European IzviaË. We gathered all our former players and started working. At the training on the eve of the match with Bosna from Visoko for the Champion of B&H, on May 17th 1998, I broke my leg, which meant the end of my playing career. After that, at the first European performance of IzviaË in the City Cup against LovÊen a whole generation said goodbye to active playing. I want to point out that I spent another season in Meugorje as a player-coach (season 1995/96), with whom I was ranked second, after IzviaË.’’

After your playing career ended, you stayed in handball continuing as the coach of goalkeepers?

‘’Mirko AliloviÊ - the goalkeeper of the Croatian National Team, Marin ©ego (HC Zagreb CO), Milan ToliÊ (Varteks) are my products. Marijo Prskalo, the present goalkeeper of “IzviaË” and Croatian Youth National Team, will yet be heard of.’’

You worked as a coach of goalkeepers in the National Team of B&H?

‘’During the qualifications for the European Cham-pionship in Switzerland, I worked with TahiroviÊ, Gra-hovac and AliloviÊ. The National Team of Bosnia and Hercegovina has high-quality goalkeepers’’.

CHC “IzviaË“ has recently been counting on the players brought up in their own lines. What do you think about the Handball Academy “IzviaË“?

‘’I was thrilled by the idea to launch and found the Handball Academy, it is a perfect move. Only big clubs have that. The results of the young age groups show everything. There is no need to worry about the future of handball in Ljubuški”, said Mr ©korput optimistically.

Od juniora RA „IzviaË“ ipak se oËekivalo više. Nekompletni, s velikim brojem ozlijeenih igraËa, otputovali su na završnicu Juniorskog prvenstva BiH i u konkurenciji 10 momËadi zauzeli sedmo mjesto. Mora se naglasiti da ni sustav natjecanja nije bio prilagoen ovom uzrastu (tri utakmice dnevno). Skauti su bili bolji od Omladinca

i Krivaje, a poraženi su od Lokomotive i Maglaja.

The Juniors of the HA “IzviaË“, however, were expected to achieve more. Incomplete, with a great number of injured players, they went to the finals of the Junior Championship of B&H and competing with 10 teams, they were ranked seventh. What has to be pointed out is the fact that not even the competing system was adjusted

for this age group (three matches a day). The Scouts were better than “Omladinac” and “Krivaja”, but defeated by “Lokomotiva” and “Maglaj”.

Da se radi o nadarenoj generaciji, rukometaši RA „IzviaË“ pokazali su i na završnici kadetskog prvenstva BiH. U konkurenciji osam ekipa Skauti su briljirali, ostvarili maksimalan uËinak od Ëetiri pobjede i uvjerljivo osvojili prvo mjesto.

U završnome susretu do nogu potukli su banjaluËki „Cepelin“. Za najboljeg igraËa turnira proglašen je Josip PeriÊ (RA „IzviaË“), najbolji vratar je Damjan ©arac - takoer iz redova Skauta, dok je prvi strijelac Tarik AlibegoviÊ (Bosna LO) s 36 postignutih pogodaka.

In the finals of the Cadet Championship of B&H, the players of the HA “IzviaË” showed that they are a talented

generation. Among eight teams, the Scouts were brilliant, having achieved the maximum score - four wins and persuasively won the first position.

In the final match, they completely defeated “Cepelin” from Banja Luka. Josip PeriÊ from HA “IzviaË” was declared the best player, the best goalkeeper was Damjan ©arac - also a member of the Scouts, and the top scorer was Tarik AlibegoviÊ (Bosna LO) with 36 goals scored.

Mirko AliloviÊ, Denis BuntiÊ, Ljubo VukiÊ i Željko Musa brane boje Hrvatske, dok Mirsad TerziÊ, Adnan HarmandiÊ, Darko MartinoviÊ, Adnan JaškiÊ, Nikola Prce i Adnan ©abanoviÊ nastupaju za reprezentaciju BiH. Ipak, samo Mirko AliloviÊ, vratar Ademar Leona i hrvatske reprezentacije, nastupao je za obje reprezentacije. Svojom korpulentnošÊu i visinom na vratima još u osnovnoj školi na sebe je privukao pozornost.

‘’Na nagovor prijatelja Renata Kozine u sedmom razredu osnovne škole poËeo sam s treninzima u mlaim uzrastima HRK „IzviaË“. Za mene nije bilo dvojbe koju poziciju igrati, odmah sam stao na gol. Prvi trener bio mi je Mirko Nikolac.’’

Brzo ste napredovali, nakon tri godine treniranja Josip Glavaš prikljuËuje Vas prvom sastavu?

‘’Za IzviaË su tada branili Drago Bokan i Mario PerËin. Sa 16 godina biti treÊi vratar u takvoj kokurenciji znaËilo mi je mnogo. Godinu dana kasnije, odlaskom Bokana kod Borisa Jarka postajem prvi vratar.’’

Vaše obrane protiv višestrukog europskog prvaka Barcelone i danas se pamte?

‘’Protiv najjaËih klubova posebno sam motiviran. Malo je nedostajalo da iznenadimo Barcelonu predvoenu Xephinom, Hernandezom, Masipom… Na poluvremenu bilo je neriješeno.’’

Sezona 2003./04. zlatnim slovima zapisana je u povijesti HRK „IzviaË“. Skauti su bili korak do vrha Europe?

‘’Nezaboravna generacija, sve sami vrhunski igraËi (TerziÊ, BuntiÊ, HarmandiÊ, PavloviÊ, SušiÊ, JuriÊ, Prce, MartinoviÊ,…). Nitko nas nije nadigrao, sa svima smo se mogli ravnopravno nositi.’’

Uslijedili su pozivi najjaËih europskih momËadi?‘’Ademar Leon bio je uporan i doveo me u svoje

redove, no svaki put kada sam doma navratim u IzviaË i posjetim Rukometnu akademiju.’’

Prva sezona u redovima ©panjolaca nije bila blistava. Uglavnom ste sjedili na klupi, da biste u protekle dvije sezone pokazali kako ste bili nepravedno zapostavljeni?

‘’Period adaptacije potrajao je nešto duže, nisam poznavao jezik pa je u poËetku bilo dosta teško. Posljednju sezonu prvi sam vratar, ispred reprezentativca

Srbije Danijela ©ariÊa. Ademar Leon uvijek ima visoke ambicije.’’

Jedan ste od rijetkih igraËa koji je nastupao za dvije reprezentacije, Hrvatsku i BiH?

‘’Na poziv tadašnjeg izbornika bosanskohercegovaËke reprezentacije Jasmina Mrkonje 2002. godine skupio sam Ëetiri nastupa u kvalifikacijama za Europsko prvenstvo u Sloveniji. Nisam bio zadovoljan statusom, uglavnom sam sjedio na klupi. Kasnije me zvao i Kasim Kamenica, no moj izbor oduvijek je bila reprezentacija Hrvatske.’’

Poziv izbornika Line »ervara uslijedio je 2006. godine, za Svjetsko prvenstvo u NjemaËkoj?

‘’Nikada neÊu zaboraviti svoj prvi nastup za reprezentaciju Hrvatske na Croatia Cupu u Puli protiv GrËke. Na Svjetsko prvenstvo u NjemaËku putovali smo: JerkoviÊ, Losert i ja. Iako smo igrali najbolji rukomet, nesretno smo poraženi u Ëetvrtfinalu od Francuske. Pravu afirmaciju na vratima reprezentacije doživio sam na Europskom prvensvtu u Norveškoj, gdje smo bili drugi.’’

San svakog sportaša nastup je na Olimpijskim igrama u Pekingu. Hrvatska reprezentacija u Pekingu je bila Ëetvrta?

‘’Svi smo vjerovali da možemo obraniti zlato iz Atene, no imali smo dosta peha. Do zadnjeg dana bio je upitan odlazak MetliËiÊa i Džombe na Olimpijadu, a veÊ na prvoj utakmici ozlijedio se naš najbolji igraË BaliÊ, a zatim i VukiÊ. Francuska je pokazala najviše i sasvim zasluženo osvojila zlato. Utakmicu za treÊe mjesto protiv ©panjolaca odigrali smo ispod svojih moguÊnosti i ostali bez medalje.’’

Denis BuntiÊ obeÊao je karijeru završiti u IzviaËu. Možemo li i Vas ponovno vidjeti u dresu Skauta?

‘’IzviaË je moj klub. U prošloj sezoni pomladio je momËad tako da je rezultat izostao. Iako sam u ©panj-olskoj, pratim sva zbivanja u bosanskohercegovaËkom rukometu. Svakako, i ja bih volio odigrati barem posljednju sezonu u dresu IzviaËa.’’

AliloviÊ je još dodao:‘’Rukometna akademija nešto je najbolje,

najpozitivnije što je napravljeno u posljednje tri godine za grad i šport opÊenito. Drago mi je kad vidim da toliko djece igra rukomet.’’

HANDBALL ACADEMY IS THE FUTURE OF IZVI–A»

As many as ten former players of “IzviaË” play for the national teams of Croatia and Bosnia&Herzegovina. Mirko AliloviÊ, Denis

BuntiÊ, Ljubo VukiÊ and Željko Musa defend the colours of Croatia, while Mirsad TerziÊ, Adnan HarmandiÊ, Darko MartinoviÊ, Adnan JaškiÊ, Nikola Prce and Adnan ©abanoviÊ play for the national team of B&H. However, only Mirko AliloviÊ, the goalkeeper of Ademar Leon and the Croatian national team, has played for both national teams. With his corpulence and height at the goal, he draw everyone’s attention to himself as early as in elementary school.

‘’Having been instigated by a friend of mine, Renato Kozina, as a seventh-grader at Elementary school I started to train with the younger age groups of the CHC “IzviaË”. There has never been any doubt for me about which position to play - I immediately stood by the goal. My first coach was Mirko Nikolac.’’

You had a rapid progress, after three years of training Josip Glavaš included you to the first team?

‘’Drago Bokan and Mario PerËin were the goalkeep-ers of IzviaË at the time. Aged 16, being the third goal-keeper in such a competition meant a lot to me. A year later, after Bokan had joined Boris Jarak, I became the first goalkeeper.”

Your defences against the multiple European champion Barcelona are in everybody’s memories even today?

‘’I am specially motivated against the most powerful clubs. We were almost close to surprise Barcelona that was led by Xephin, Hernandez, Masip… After the first half it was a draw.’’

The season of 2003/04 has been inscribed in the history of the CHC “IzviaË” with golden letters. Scouts were just a step from the top of Europe?

‘’An unforgettable generation, all pure top players (TerziÊ, BuntiÊ, HarmandiÊ, PavloviÊ, SušiÊ, JuriÊ, Prce, MartinoviÊ,…). Nobody was able to outplay us, we coped equally with everybody.’’

What followed were the invitations of the most powerful European teams?

‘’Ademar Leon was persistent and brought me among their lines, and whenever I am at home I come round to IzviaË and visit the Handball Academy.’’

The first season in Spanish lines was not so brilliant. You mostly sat on the bench, and then in the last two season you showed that you had been unfairly neglected?

‘’The adaptation period lasted a bit longer, I didn’t speak the language so in the beginning it was quite dif-ficult. For the last season I have been the first goalkeep-er, in front of the Serbian representative Danijel ©ariÊ. Ademar Leon always has great ambitions.”

You are one of the rare players who have played for both national teams, Croatian and B&H?

‘’I collected four appearances in the qualifications for the European Championship in Slovenia when the selec-tor of the B&H National team, Jasmin Mrkonja, invited me in 2002. I wasn’t satisfied with my status; I mostly sat on the bench. Late on, Kasim Kamenica called me, but my choice has always been the Croatian National Team.’’

The invitation of the selector Lino »ervar for the World Championship in Germany came in 2006?

‘’I will never forget my first appearance for the Na-tional Team of Croatia in Croatia Cup in Pula against Greece. JerkoviÊ, Losert and I travelled to the World Championship in Germany. Although we played the best handball, we were unluckily defeated by France in the quarterfinals. I experienced the real affirmation as a goalkeeper in the European Championship in Norway, where we were the second..’’

Every sportsman’s dream is the performance at the Olympic Games in Beijing. Croatian National Team was the fourth at the Beijing Olympics?

‘’We all believed we could defend the gold from Athens, but we had a plenty of bad luck. Until the last day it was doubtful whether MetliËiÊ and Džomba were going to the Olyimpics, and as early as in the first match out best player BaliÊ was injured, followed by VukiÊ then. France showed the most and quite deservedly won the golden medals. We played the match for the third place against Spain below our capabilities and were left without a medal.’’

Denis BuntiÊ promised he would finish his career in “IzviaË”. Can we see you again in the Scout dress?

‘’’IzviaË’ is my club. In the last season it rejuvenated the team so the results failed. Although I am in Spain, I watch all the happenings in handball in B&H. Certainly, I would like to play at least my last season in the dress of ‘IzviaË’”.

AliloviÊ also added,‘’The Handball Academy is something extraordinary,

the most positive thing made in the last three years for the town and sports in general. I am glad to see such a great number of children playing handball.’’

• Prema MilanoviÊu (2007), izvedba motoriËke aktivnosti odvija se u više faza:- potrebno je uspješno percipirati i analizirati (“skenirati”) strukturu situacije;- pretraživanjem motoriËke memorije sportaš ‘vidi’ je li u njoj pohranjen isti ili sliËan program

motoriËke aktivnosti kao odgovor na situacijski problem;

- motoriËki programi su skupovi podataka o tome kako se neka motoriËka aktivnost izvodi u standardnim ili promjenjivim uvjetima;

- u sljedeÊoj fazi sportaš eferentnim impulsima aktivira periferni dio lokomotornog sustava i realizira motoriËku aktivnost;

- na višoj razini motoriËkog djelovanja, kada se radi o stabilnim motoriËkim programima, moguÊe su korekcije na temelju registriranih odstupanja od oËekivane izvedbe;

- nakon toga na temelju prikupljenih informacija iz unutarnjeg i vanjskog regulacijskog kruga motoriËkog djelovanja sportaš analizira uËinak, odnosno rezultat taktiËkog djelovanja; te

- povratnom spregom može se ili potvrditi ispravnost izabranoga i provedenoga motoriËkoga programa ili se program može korigirati.

2. Osnove uËenja tehniËko-taktiËkih znanja

TehniËko-taktiËka priprema sportaša

• TehniËko-taktiËka priprema javlja se kao nedjeljivi dio cjelokupnog trenažnog procesa.

• Proces uËenja tehnike i taktike u svezi je s davanjem, prijamom, obradom i korištenjem osnovnih i dopunskih informacija.

• Trener mora znati kvalitetno opisati i demonstrirati, odnosno pokazati motoriËki zadatak koji je cilj uËenja:- treba pokazati ne apstraktnu tehniku i taktiku, nego onu koju sportaš može percipirati i kasnije izvesti

i usvojiti;- trener je mogao biti izvanredan sportaš, ali može biti loš trener, posebno za mlae dobne skupine, jer

programe izvedbe ili demonstracije ne može prilagoditi drugima.

• Ove informacije pomažu stvaranju predodžbe o poželjnoj izvedbi tehniËko-taktiËkih elemenata.

• Racionalno uËenje u sportu podrazumijeva uoËavanje i ispravljanje motoriËkih grešaka.

MotoriËke pogreške

• Ove pogreške znaËe da izvedba tehniËko-taktiËkog zadatka odstupa od idealne izvedbe koja se od sportaša oËekuje prema njegovim psihofiziËkim sposobnostima.

• Treneri moraju poznavati razloge koji mogu dovesti do nepravilnog izvoenja motoriËkog zadatka, i oblikovati sadržaje dopunskih treninga s ciljem ispravljanja uoËenih pogrešaka.

3. SpecifiËnosti uËenja racionalne tehnike i taktike djece-rukometaša• Djeca moraju usvojiti i usavršavati racionalnu tehniku i taktiku sportske grane.

• Ne misli se na „djeËju” tehniku, nego onu koja odgovara njihovim sposobnostima i znanjima.

• Prevoenje usvojene „djeËje” tehnike i taktike na tehniku i taktiku „odraslih” ne postoji, jer se inaËe gubi sav pozitivni smisao koncepta višegodišnje pripreme.

• Proces usvajanja i usavršavanja tehniËkih i taktiËkih znanja mora se provoditi na odgovarajuÊoj emocionalnoj razini.

• Ukoliko ne postoji dovoljan emocionalni poticaj, uËenje tehnike i taktike postaje dosadno i demotivirajuÊe.

1. Introduction• The process of technical and tactical education is performed from the beginning to the end of sporting

carrier. • There is a significant well-defined cluster of technical and tactical tasks for every phase of the long-term

sporting preparation that sportsmen need to learn. The methods of teaching are well-defined. • Handball, as a complex sporting branch, is defined with a limited number of technical and tactical

elements that are systematically accepted, perfected, stabilized and finally brought to an automatized performance.

Sporting technique

• This implies biomechanically correct and efficient performance of the motional structures. • Rational technique enables a sportsman to express his own personal functional and locomotive potentials

completely.

• Sporting technique consists of the variety of motor programs. • It appears as a result of a long-term learning process. • The result of that learning is a technical readiness that implies highly developed capabilities of a sportsman

to govern his moves during the dynamic stereotype performance.

Sporting tactics

• It represents the manner of sportsman’s action in the conditions of a situational training or competition. • It is the choice of certain technical and tactical skills and ways of their usage in order to implement the

plan and effects wanted. • Tactic in sports represents the common and rational action of an individual, the lines and groups of

players, in order to solve the situational problems in the phase of defense, transition and offense.

• According to MilanoviÊ (2007), the performance of motor activity takes place in more phases:

- It is necessary to perceive and analyse (“scan”) successfully the structure of the situation.

- Searching the locomotive memory, a sportsman ‘sees’ if there is the same or similar locomotive activity

program saved in it as an answer to the situational problem.

Situation of the game

- Locomotive programs are databanks about the ways how a locomotive activity is performed in standard

or changeable conditions.

- In the next phase, a sportsman activates the peripheral part of the locomotive system by efferent

impulses and realises motor activity.

- On a higher level of motor activity, when it comes to the stabile motor programs, possible corrections

may happen, based on the registered aberrations from the performance expected.

- After that, a sportsman analyses the effect, i.e. the results of the tactical action, upon the information

gathered from the internal and external regulatory circle of the motor action.

- Reflexive response can either confirm the correctness of the chosen and performed locomotive program

or the program can be corrected.

2. Basic learning of technical and tactical skills

Technical and tactical preparation of a sportsman

• Technical and tactical preparation appears as an undividable part of the whole training process. • The process of learning technique and tactics is related to giving, accepting, processing, and using of the

basic and additional information. • The coach must be able to describe, demonstrate, i.e. show the motoric task which is the goal of learning:

- He needs to show not an abstract technique and tactic, but the one that a sportsman can perceive and later perform and accept.

- The coach might have been an outstanding sportsman, but a bad coach, particularly for younger age groups, since he is not able to adjust the programs of performance or demonstration to others.

• These pieces of information help create the image of the wanted performance of tactical and technical elements.

• Rational learning in sports implies noticing and correcting locomotive mistakes.

Locomotive mistakes

• These mistakes mean that the performance of the technical and tactical task deviates from the ideal performance that is expected from a sportsman by his psycho-physical abilities.

• Coaches must know the reasons that can lead to the incorrect performance of a locomotive task, as well as create additional training activities aimed at correcting the mistakes noticed.

3. Specificities of learning rational technique and tactic with children - handball players • Children must accept and refine rational technique and the tactic of a sporting branch. • Here, not “children’s” technique is concerned, but the one that is appropriate for their abilities and skills. • The transition of the accepted “children’s” technique and tactic to the tactic and technique of the “grown-

ups” does not exist, because in that case all the positive sense of the long-term preparation concept disappears.

• The process of accepting and perfecting technical and tactical skills must be performed on an appropriate emotional level.

• If a sufficient emotional motivation does not exist, the learning of technique and tactics becomes boring and non-motivating.

ZnaËenje uloge trenera presudno je ne samo u procesu uËenja, nego i u procesu kontrole i korekcije svih elemenata. Trener mora svoje

igraËe uËiti igrati, poticati na pobjedu, te navoditi ih da uËine sve što je u granicama njihovih moguÊnosti. Moralno je i pošteno postizati pobjede!

Trener mora stalno naglašavati igraËima da ono što od

njih oËekuje na treningu i utakmici jest - MAKSIMALNO

ZALAGANJE. IgraËi moraju željeti biti najbolji - biti

zadovoljni pobjedom, ali „više’’ od pobjede je sama

spoznaja da su trener i tim uËinili sve što su mogli.

Uvijek treba biti uzdignute glave nakon što se uËinilo

sve što se moglo, bez obzira na rezultat. Ne priliËi oholiti

se nakon pobjede, a niti biti pretjerano tužan i utuËen

zbog poraza.

Dobar je trener onaj koji poznaje predmet (rukomet),

koji ima solidno opÊe znanje, vještinu prenošenja znanja,

koji radi profesionalno i disciplinirano, koji je dobar

organizator treninga. On takoer treba imati dobar

odnos sa sredinom u kojoj živi, poštivati igraËe i ostale

suradnike, a trebao bi i sam željeti uËiti i usavršavati se.

PSIHODINAMIKA ODNOSA TRENER - TIM (Uloga kapetana)

TRENER - KREATOR I ORGANIZATOR STRU»NOG RADA (TRENINGA) Postoje tri vrste trenera, a to su:

• TIP AUTOKRATSKOG TRENERA - neograniËen autoritet (sve se mora izvršavati bez pogovora);• TIP DEMOKRATSKOG TRENERA - podrazumijeva suradnju na relaciji trener - momËad, uz ravnomjerno rasporeivanje uloga, obveza i odgovornosti. On je voditelj, ali uvažava dvosmjernu komunikaciju.• TIP TRENERA ANARHISTA - Laisez-faire („Pusti vodu niz livadu’’)

ULOGA KAPETANA Kapetan ima ulogu igraËa i voe, ima obveze

prema treneru, klubu i društvenoj sredini. Odgovoran je za odnose u grupi, usklauje

i usmjerava odnose, koncentriran je i pribran u kriznim situacijama.

PSIHOLO©KA PRIPREMA SPORTA©A ZA NATJECANJE

Za uspješno bavljenje športom potrebna je aktivnost cjelokupne liËnosti (cijelog Ëovjeka). Moderni šport sve je više, u psihološkom smislu, teška i složena borba (natjecanje). Kako pored fiziËkih, izdržati i psihiËka optereÊenja?

Znanja i dostignuÊa, metode i tehnike moderne psihologije nezaobilazni su uvjeti u suvremenom športu. Termin „psihološka priprema športaša za natjecanje“ svakodnevan je posao.

Psihološka priprema znaËi stvaranje uvjeta i utjecaja za dovoenje organizma u optimalno stanje psihološke spremnosti za natjecanje i u tijeku natjecanja („Dobro je!“‘, „Ne boj se!“, „Nastavi!“, „Junak si!“, …).

The importance of the coach’s role is crucial not only in the process of learning, but also in the process of control and correction of all elements. A coach

must teach his players how to play, encourage them to win, and make them do everything within the limits of their capabilities. It is moral and fair to score wins.

A coach has to emphasise constantly that what the players are expected to do at trainings and matches is - MAXIMUM EFFORT. Players must want to be the best - to be satisfied with their win, but “more” than the very win is the cognition that the coach and the team did all they could.

Players must always keep their heads up after they have done everything that could be done, no matter what the result is. It is neither appropriate to be arrogant after the win, nor too sad or devastated because of the loss.

A good coach is the one who knows the subject (handball), has a good general knowledge, good teach-ing skills, who works professionally and is disciplined, who is a good organizer of the training process. Fur-thermore, he should have a good relationship with the

COACH - THE CREATOR AND ORGANIZER OF PROFESSIONAL WORK (TRAINING)community he lives in, respect the players and other co-work-ers, and he himself should be willing to learn and specialize.

There are three types of coaches:

• THE AUTOCRATIC TYPE - unlimited authority (everything must be done with no unquestioningly);• THE DEMOCRATIC TYPE - means cooperation in the relation coach-team, arranging the roles, duties and responsibilities equally. He is the leader, but he accepts two-way communication; and• THE ANARCHIST TYPE - Laisez-faire (‘’Let them get on with it’’)

CAPTAIN’S ROLE The captain’s role is to be the leader and player, having du-

ties to the coach, club and the society. He’s responsible for the relations within the group, adjust-

ing and directing them. He is concentrated and calm in crisis situations.

SPORTSMAN’S PSYCHOLOGICAL PREPARATION FOR COMPETING

For a successful sporting career, the activity of the complete personality (the whole person) is needed. From the psychological point of view, the modern sport is becoming a more and more difficult and complex battle (competition). Apart from physical ones, how is it possible to endure psychological burdens?

Knowledge and achievements, methods and tech-niques of the modern psychology are unavoidable conditions in the modern sport. The term “Psychological preparation of sportsmen for competing” is an everyday duty.

The psychological preparation implies creating conditions for bringing the organism into an optimal state of psychological readiness for competing as well as during the match (“It’s ok!’’, “Don’t be afraid!’’, “Go on!’’, ‘’You’re a hero!’’, …).

Da biste se uspješno bavili suenjem u rukometu, postoji nekoliko važnih Ëimbenika, meu kojima naglašavam one najvažnije, a to su: bivši igraË

- dobar sudac, pravilan odabir partnera, hrabrost i odluËnost te dobra tjelesna spremnost suca.

Iskustvo me uËi da je malen broj sudaca koji su postigli vrhunsku karijeru kada je u pitanju suenje na velikim natjecanjima, a da nisu savladali pravila rukometne igre. Ne stoji tvrdnja da je neki sudac dobar na terenu (praktiËar), a da za to ne treba dobro poznavati pravila rukometne igre, jer je ta tvrdnja pogrešna i besmislena. Oni suci koji su se opredijelili za uspješnu sudaËku karijeru, prije svega trebaju dobro nauËiti pravila rukometne igre. No nije samo dovoljno jednom nauËiti pravila rukometne igre, nego ih je potrebno stalno ponavljati i utvrivati suenjem na rukometnim utakmicama. Malo je uspješnih sudaca koji jedanput ili dvaput u natjecateljskoj sezoni proËitaju pravila rukometne igre. Ima i onih sudaca koji su unatoË slabijem poznavanju pravila vrsni suci. Takvi se, meutim, mogu nabrojati na prste jedne ruke. Bilo bi dobro svaki dan ponoviti barem jedno pravilo iz knjige Pravila rukometne igre, a prije odlaska na utakmicu sva pravila, kako se ne bi potkrala pogrešaka na utakmici kada su u pitanju neka od specifiËnih pravila rukometne igre.

Taj je prijedlog namijenjen svima onima koji su suenje rukometne igre odabrali kao svoj najvažniji životni hobi u kojem žele postati uspješni. Ma koliko poznavali pravila, ponovljenim Ëitanjem ona Êe postati

bliža i jasnija. Ako vam nešto nije jasno, nemojte se stidjeti potražiti rješenje svojih dvojbi kod starijih i iskusnijih kolega. Razmjena iskustava te sastanci udruge sudaca i seminari najbolja su mjesta za dobivanje odgovora na pitanja koja vas kao rukometnog suca ili nadzornika muËe. Ne smije vam biti teško telefonom potražiti odgovore od onih za koje smatrate da vam ih mogu dati i riješiti dvojbe. Svi oni koji se budu sramili pitati iskusnije od sebe morat Êe proÊi mnogo duži put u potrazi za odgovorom u malobrojnoj literaturi vezanoj za problematiku suenja rukometne igre.

Nikad mi nije bilo teško odgovor na svako pitanje potražiti kod iskusnijih kolega sudaca ili nadzornika. Na poËetku sudaËke karijere nisam ni bio svjestan koliko su mi na putu da postanem dobar sudac pomogli: Mladen RaiË, Lovre KolimbatoviÊ, Tomo Komazin, –ino GiljeviÊ, Mileta KekiÊ, Rudolf Farkaš, Ferdo Meugorac, Josip Glavaš, Zvonko Herceg, Željko SaviÊ, Dragan Semiz, Džabir DelaliÊ, Duško Vrhovac i mnogi drugi. Danas sa sigurnošÊu tvrdim da su mi svojim savjetima i prijedlozima pomogli pronaÊi pravi put u sudaËkoj karijeri.

In order to be a successful handball referee, one must respect a few factors, among which I point out only the most important ones: a former player - a good

referee, the proper selection of the partner, bravery and determination, as well as referee’s being fit.

From my own experience, I know there are few referees who achieved the top career as far as refereeing at big competitions is concerned, without having mastered the rules of handball. False is the assertion that a referee is good in the court (practitioner), without understanding the rules of handball because the claim is wrong and senseless. Judges who want to specialize in refereeing, first of all must learn handball rules well. It is not sufficient to learn them just once since they must be revised and affirmed by refereeing at handball matches. Few are those successful referees who read the rules of handball only once or twice during the competing season. There are also some referees who are exceptionally good in spite of their poorer knowledge of handball rules. However, such referees can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

It would be good to revise one rule every day from the book ”Rules of Handball”, and all rules before going to a match, in order to avoid mistakes during the match when it comes to some specific rules of handball. That suggestion is intended for all those who have chosen handball refereeing as their most important hobby in which they want to become successful. No matter how well we know the rules, repeated reading will make them closer and clearer. If you have some questions, do not be ashamed to look to your older and more experienced colleagues for pieces of advice. Exchange of experience and meetings of the Referees’ Associations are the best places to get answers to the questions that bother you as a handball referee or supervisor. You must not find it difficult to use the telephone to ask for advice from the people you think might be helpful and in that way solve your uncertainties. All those who are ashamed of asking more experienced people for help, will have to go far longer in the search for the answers in the lacking literature referring to the handball refereeing issues.

I have never found it difficult to look to more experienced colleagues - judges or supervisors for answers to all my questions. At the very beginning of my

refereeing career, I was not aware of the fact how much these people had helped me become a good referee: Mladen RaiË, Lovre KolimbatoviÊ, Tomo Komazin, –ino GiljeviÊ, Mileta KekiÊ, Rudolf Farkaš, Ferdo Meugorac, Josip Glavaš, Zvonko Herceg, Željko SaviÊ, Dragan Semiz, Džabir DelaliÊ, Duško Vrhovac and many others. Today I solemnly declare that with their advice and suggestions they helped me in finding the right way in my refereeing career.

• Po završetku akademske godine, u prostorijama Hrvatskog rukometnog kluba „IzviaË“ održana je tiskovna konferencija na kojoj je vodstvo Rukometne akademije predstavilo sažetak rada u akademskoj 2007./08. godini. Dekan Rukometne akademije Ivan MatiÊ istaknuo je da je cilj konferencije informirati javnost o radu, rezultatima rada i uspjesima polaznika Akademije.

Ravnatelj Akademije Mirko VujeviÊ osvrnuo se na rezultate u natjecateljskoj sezoni 2007./08., navlastito pohvalivši godište 1992./93., tj. aktualne prvake BiH.

‘’©to se tiËe edukativnog dijela, pored treninga, cilj nam je svestrano i pravilno razvijanje Ëovjeka. Ne uËi se samo vještina igranja.’’, kazao je dekan MatiÊ.

CRTICE IZ AKADEMIJE

• NaËelnik opÊine Ljubuški gosp. Nevenko BarbariÊ primio je kadetske polaznike RA „IzviaË“ - prvake BiH. NaËelnik je Ëestitao Rukometnoj akademiji na uspjesima, zahvalio na potpori roditelja polaznika Akademije i svim sponzorima, a posebno tvrtki MuciÊ&Co.

‘’Oko 600 djece i omladine ukljuËeno je u športske aktivnosti u Ljubuškom. Iako se Ëini velik broj, to je samo 15% uËenika. Naša obveza je pomagati ove športove i stvarati više športskih sadržaja u opÊini Ljubuški.’’, kazao je NaËelnik.

U znak zahvalnosti, dekan Akademije MatiÊ naËelniku je uruËio zahvalnicu Akademije, program rada Akademije i prva dva broja lista „Akademija“.

• Ministar prosvjete, kulture i športa Županije ZapadnohercegovaËke gosp. Vjekoslav »amber primio je vodstvo Akademije, pohvalio njezin rad i kazao: ‘’Iznimna mi je Ëast sudjelovati u radu i pomagati institucijama koje se bave promocijom športa i zdrava života meu mladima. Želja mi je da komunikacija izmeu Ministarstva i Akademije i u buduÊnosti bude dvosmjerna.’’

• Rukometaši Akademije bili su u reprezentaciji Hercegovine koja se u Zadru suprotstavila hrvatskoj rukometnoj reprezentaciji. Igrati protiv BaliÊa, MetliËiÊa, Džombe i ostalih za njih je posebno priznanje.

• Našu Akademiju posjetili su i ugledni gosti iz Australije i NjemaËke, nekadašnji igraËi IzviaËa: prof. Ivan Bandur s obitelji i dr. Ivan Boras.

‘’Ugodno sam iznenaen ovim što radite. Veoma je važno da je sport popraÊen izobrazbom od malih nogu. Važno je shvatiti kako je sport odgojan, kako formira zdrave i socijalno angažirane osobe bez kojih nema zajedništva i opÊepoželjnog napretka bilo koje zdrave sredine. Neopisivo je zadovoljstvo vidjeti da u Ljubuškom ima ljudi koji su spremni i sposobni voditi akademiju mladih. Uvijek je uspjeh htjeti i znati se boriti.’’, rijeËi su doktora Borasa.

• After the academic year finished, a press confer-ence was held in the Croatian Handball Club “IzviaË“ where the leadership of the Handball Academy pre-sented the Summary of the work in the academic year 2007/08. The Dean of the Academy Ivan MatiÊ empha-sised that the goal of the conference was to inform the public about the work, results of the work and accom-plishments of the attendants of the Academy.

The Director of the Academy Mirko VujeviÊ looked back at the results in the competing season of 2007/08, especially praising the age group 1992/93, i.e. the present champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“As far as the educational part is concerned, apart from trainings, our goal is a comprehensive and proper development of men. The playing skills are not the only things taught”, said the Dean.

• The Mayor of the Municipality of Ljubuški, Mr Nevenko BarbariÊ, welcomed the Cadets of the Handball Academy “IzviaË”. He congratulated the Academy on all the accomplishments, thanking their parents and all the sponsors for their support, particularly the MuciÊ&Co firm.

“About 600 children and youth are involved in sport-ing activities in Ljubuški. Although it seems to be a large number, it represents only 15% of the pupils. Our duty is to help these sports and create more sporting facilities in the Municipality of Ljubuški”, said the Mayor. As a sign of gratitude, the dean of the Academy - Ivan MatiÊ handed the Letter of Thanks to the Mayor, as well as the Program of the Academy and the first two numbers of the magazine “Akademija”.

• The Minister of education, culture and sports of the West-Herzegovinian Canton, Mr Vjekoslav »amber, welcomed the leadership of the Academy, extolled its work and said, “It is my great honour to participate in the work and help the institutions dealing with promo-tion of sports and healthy life among the youth. My wish is to make the communication between the Ministry and Academy a two-way street in the future.”

• The handballers from the Academy were in the Representation of Hercegovina that played against the Croatian National Team in Zadar. Playing against BaliÊ, MetliËiÊ, Džomba and others was a special recognition for them.

• Our Academy was visited by prominent guests from Australia and Germany who used to play for “IzviaË”: professor Ivan Bandur with his family and doctor Ivan Boras.

“I am positively taken back with what you are doing here. It is very important for sports to be accompanied by education from the very early age. It is important to understand that sports have educational features, creating healthy and socially engaged persons without whom there is no community and desirable advancement of every sane society. It is my indefinable pleasure to see that in Ljubuški there are people who are willing and competent to lead an academy for the youth. Akademije - godište 1996. i mlai; i• 32 turnira, subotom u Gradskoj športskoj dvorani.

Osim navedenih turnira, polaznici Akademije iz O.©. Tina UjeviÊa odigrali su u kategoriji „1994. godište” 14 utakmica s lokalnim ekipama (Meugorje, Stolac, Vrgorac, »apljina i MetkoviÊ), na kojima su ubilježili 10 pobjeda, jedan neriješen rezultat i tri poraza.

Kad je u pitanju 1996. godište, odigrano je 16 utakmica u ovom razdoblju i zabilježeno 15 pobjeda te jedan neriješen rezultat u MetkoviÊu, pa se stoga nameÊe pitanje nedostatka prikladnih protivnika i preporuËuje se u iduÊoj sezoni odlazak na što više turnira, jer u ekipi sigurno ima nekoliko izuzetno talentiranih igraËa.

Nadalje, 1996. godište prvak je Herceg-Bosne za 2008. godinu. Osvojili su prvo mjesto i na Meunarodnom rukometnom turniru „I mali Êe postati veliki“ u Ljubuškom, 7.6.2008. Nabolji je strijelac turnira, s postignutih 13 pogodaka, Mario Pavlak iz Vitine.

Održano: • 125 treninga sa starijom skupinom od 20 polaznika


Akademije - godište 1996. i mlai; te• 32 turnira, subotom u Gradskoj športskoj dvorani.

Osim gore navedenih treninga i turnira, 1996. godište imalo je pet gostujuÊih utakmica u »apljini, MetkoviÊu i Meugorju i sve tri pobjede, a bili su sudionici na Meunarodnom rukometnom turniru u Ljubuškom u mjesecu lipnju. Za najboljeg golmana turnira proglašen je igraË Mirko Zovko iz Osnovne škole Ivane BrliÊ MaæuraniÊ s GraËina.

Uzrasna kategorija 1994./95.

Trener: Vladimir PetrovOva uzrasna kategorija, koja ima 25 polaznika, imala

je 205 treninga. Odigrali su 19 prijateljskih utakmica, i to u MetkoviÊu, Grudama, »apljini, Dubrovniku i Splitu. Slijede njihova postignuÊa:

- U Dubrovniku, na Memorijalnom turniru „Bruno Glanz“, bili su prvaci - pobjednici 2.12.2007.

- U Mostaru, na BožiÊnom turniru, osvojili su treÊe mjesto 16.12.2007.

- Na završnici prvenstva Herceg-Bosne u »apljini osvojili su prvo mjesto, 10.1.2008.

- U Ljubuškom, 28.3.2008. na Uskrsnom turniru, u organizaciji Rukometne akademije, osvojili

su treÊe mjesto.- Selekcija RA ”IzviaË” 1994./95., u konkurenciji 4

ekipe, osvojila je 2. mjesto u Dubrovniku, 15.6.2008.


Trener: Vladimir PetrovOva uzrasna kategorija, koja se sastoji od 24

polaznika, imala je 218 treninga. Slijedi pregled njihovih postignuÊa u protekloj akademskoj godini:- Na Memorijalnom meunarodnom rukometnom

turniru „Stanko SivriÊ“, održanome u Meugorju 27.8.2007., naša je selekcija bila najbolja - pobjednik

turnira, a najboljim igraËem proglašen je Josip PeriÊ.- Sudjelovanje na turniru u Dubrovniku 21.10.2007.- U »itluku, 12.1.2008. na prvenstvu H-B, osvojili su prvo

mjesto - prvaci Herceg-Bosne.- U Ljubuškom, 28.3.2008. na Uskrsnom turniru, u

organizaciji Rukometne akademije, osvojili su prvo mjesto - pobjednici turnira. Za najboljeg igraËa proglašen je Josip PeriÊ, a s najviše postignutih pogodaka Josip PeriÊ bio je i najbolji strijelac turnira.

- 27.4.2008. bili su pobjednici turnira „Više od rukometa“, u organizaciji Rukometne škole „Cepelin“. Josip BuntiÊ proglašen je najboljim golmanom u skupini 90./91., a u skupini 92./93. za najboljeg igraËa proglašen je Josip PeriÊ. Najbolji strijelac bio je Mirko Herceg s 23 pogotka.

- Na završnici državnog prvenstva BiH, u organizaciji RK „Bosna“ Sarajevo, održanoj 22.6.2008. selekcija RA „IzviaË“ 1992./93., u konkurenciji 8 ekipa osvojila je 1. mjesto i stekla naslov kadetskog državnog prvaka za natjecateljsku sezonu 2007./08.

Josip PeriÊ proglašen je najboljim igraËem, a Damjan ©arac najboljim golmanom.Hrvatski rukometni savez je u perspektivne Ëlanove

hrvatske muške Mlae kadetske reprezentacije svrstao i pozvao u kamp u Crikvenici Mirka Hercega, Josipa PeriÊa, Petra MuciÊa, Ivana DžoliÊa, Stjepana »olaka i Daria TomiÊa. Mlaa kadetska reprezentacija Êe u sezoni 2009./10. imati kvalifikacije za EP.


Trener: Zvonko HercegOva kategorija, sa 17 polaznika, imala je u protekloj

godini 164 treninga. Slijede njihova postignuÊa:- Dubrovnik, 21.10.2007. - sudjelovanje na turniru.- Posušje, 6.1.2008. - na završnici prvenstva Herceg

Bosne osvojeno drugo mjesto.- Osvojili 2. mjesto na turniru „Više od rukometa“ , u

organizaciji Rukometne škole „Cepelin“.- Na završnici državnog prvenstva BiH, u organizaciji

RK „Ilidža“, u konkurenciji 10 ekipa ova selekcija osvojila je 7. mjesto.

ODGOJNO - OBRAZOVNI PROGRAM AKADEMIJE

• Osnovni je cilj Akademije pravilno razvijanje mladih ljudi, kao i njihovo izvoenje na pravi put. Na Akademiji se mladi ne uËe samo igranju rukometa, nego Akademija ima i edukativni karakter, o Ëemu svjedoËe i brojna predavanja.

• Uzrasna kategorija 1994./95., koju saËinjava 29 polaznika, pohaala je u sklopu odgojno-obrazovnog

dijela rada Akademije 26 predavanja, i to u kombinaciji kulture ponašanja, psihologije športa i engleskog jezika.

• Na kraju akademske godine 2007./08. završni test iz engleskog jezika uspješno je položilo 19 polaznika. Završni test iz opÊe kulture, psihologije, filozofije i pedagogije uspješno je završilo 19 polaznika ovog godišta.

• Uzrasna kategorija 1992./93., koju Ëini 26 polaznika, pohaala je u sklopu odgojno-obrazovnog dijela rada Akademije 26 predavanja, u kombinaciji kulture ponašanja, psihologije športa, nacionalne i regionalne povijesti i engleskog jezika.

• Na kraju akademske godine 2007./08. završni test iz engleskog jezika uspješno je položilo 18 polaznika. Na kraju akademske godine 2007./08. završni test iz povijesti (nacionalne i regionalne) uspješno je završilo 18 polaznika ovog godišta.

• Polaznicima koji su uspješno završili akademsku 2007./08. bit Êe dodijeljeni certifikati.

• Program odgojno-obrazovnog rada realizirali su profesori - stalni predavaËi na Akademiji: Ivan MatiÊ, Drago GrgiÊ i Zdenko Vištica. List Akademija ureivao je Goran Skoko, prof. Rad s trenerima svih uzrasta koordinirao je Josip Glavaš.

• StruËni tim Akademije tijekom ljeta izradit Êe plan upisa, kao i plan rada za 2008./09. akademsku godinu.

Uza sve to, u akademskoj 2007./08.:

- 20 mladih polaznika za suce imalo je predavanja iz pravila rukometne igre;

- održano je 45 redovitih sastanaka utorkom - uprava i treneri;

- održano je 10 sastanaka s roditeljima;

- izvršen je upis 191 polaznika Akademije;

- izdan je 1. broj lista „Akademija“ - rujan 2007.;

- obilježena je prva godišnjica rada Akademije - 8.12.2007. uz natjecanje svih upisanih polaznika Akademije, gdje je formirana 21 ekipa i odigran jednodnevni turnir u dvorani;

- izdat je i drugi broj lista „Akademija“, a prezentacija lista održana je 28.3.2008. u prostorijama Kluba; i

- u pripremi je i 3. broj lista „Akademija“, koji Êe biti tiskan u rujnu 2008.

Apart from the tournaments mentioned, the attendants of the Academy from the Elementary School ”Tin UjeviÊ” from Vitina played 14 matches in the category “Age Group 1994” with local teams (Meugorje, Stolac, Vrgorac, »apljina i MetkoviÊ), achieving 10 wins, 3 losses, and one draw.

When it comes to the age group 1996, 16 matches were played in this period resulting in 15 wins and one draw in MetkoviÊ, hence there arises the problem of the lack of appropriate opponents. What is recommended is taking part in as many tournaments as possible in the next season, since surely there are a few exceptionally talented players.

Furthermore, the age group 1996 is the champion of Herceg-Bosna for the year of 2008. They won the title of the best in the International handball tournament “Even the little ones will become big” in Ljubuški on June 7th, 2008. The top scorer of the tournament was MARIO PAVLAK from Vitina with 13 goals scored.

• 125 trainings with the older group of 20 attendants of the Academy - age group 1994/95;

• 125 trainings with the younger group of 22 attendants of the Academy - age group 1996 and younger; and

• 32 tournaments, on Saturdays in the City Sports Hall.

Apart from the above mentioned trainings and tournaments, the age group 1996 had five visiting matches in »apljina, MetkoviÊ and Medjugorje and all wins, and they also took part in the International handball tournament in Ljubuški in June. MIRKO ZOVKO from the Elementary School “Ivana BrliÊ MaæuraniÊ“ in GraËine was declared the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Age group 1994/95

Coach: Vladimir PetrovThis age group, consisting of 25 attendants, had 205

trainings. They played 19 friendly matches, in MetkoviÊ, Grude, »apljina, Dubrovnik and Split. The following are their accomplishments:

- In Dubrovnik, in the Memorial tournament ‘’Bruno Glanz’’, they were the champions - winners on December 2nd, 2007;

- In Mostar, in the Christmas tournament, they got the third position on December 16th, 2007;

- In the finals of the Championship of Herceg-Bosna in »apljina they were ranked first on January 10th, 2008;

- In Ljubuški, on March 28th, 2008 in the Easter tournament that was organized by the Handball Academy, they were placed third.

- The age group 1994/95 of the HA ”IzviaË”, in the competition with 4 teams, were second in Dubrovnik on June 15th, 2008.

Age group 1992/93

Coach: Vladimir PetrovThis age group, consisting of 24 attendants, had 218

trainings. These are their accomplishments in the last academic year: - In the Memorial international handball tournament

‘’Stanko SivriÊ’’, held in Medjugorje on August 27th, 2007 our selection was the best - the winner of the tournament, and Josip PeriÊ was declared the best player.

- They took part in the tournament in Dubrovnik on October 21st, 2007.

- In »itluk, on January 12th, 2008 in the Championship of Herceg-Bosna they won the first

place - champions of Herceg-Bosna. - In Ljubuški, on March 28th, 2008 in the Easter tournament

which was organized by the Handball Academy, they were the first - winners of the tournament. Josip PeriÊ was declared the best player, and with the biggest number of goals achieved Josip PeriÊ was the top scorer of the tournament.

- On April 27th, 2008 they were the winners in the tournament “More than handball”, which was organised by the Handball School “Cepelin”. Josip BuntiÊ was declared the best goalkeeper in the age group 1990/91, and in the age group 1992/93 Josip PeriÊ was declared the top player. The best scorer was Mirko Herceg with 23 goals scored.

- In the finals of the State championship of BiH, which was organized by the HC ‘’Bosna’’ from Sarajevo, held on June 22nd, 2008 the age group 1992/93 of the HA “‘IzviaË’’, competing with 8 teams, were ranked first and gained the title of the State Cadet Champion for the season 2007/08. Josip PeriÊ was declared the best player, and Damjan ©arac the best goalkeeper.

Croatian Handball Association contacted Mirko Herceg, Josip PeriÊ, Petar MuciÊ, Ivan DžoliÊ, Stjepan »olak and Dario TomiÊ as perspective players to join the Younger Cadet National Team and invited them to the camp in Crikvenica. The Younger Cadet National Team will have qualifications for the European Championship in the season of 2009/10.

Age group 1990/91

Coach: Zvonko HercegThis category, consisting of 17 attendants, had 164

trainings last year. These are their accomplishments: - Dubrovnik, October 21st, 2007 - taking part in the

tournament;- Posušje, January 6th, 2008 - ranked second in the finals of

the Championship of Herceg-Bosna; - The age group won the second position in the

tournament “More than handball”, which was organized by the Handball School “Cepelin”. - In the finals of the State Championship of BiH, which

was organized by the HC “Ilidža”, the group was ranked seventh in the competition with 10 teams.

THE EDUCATIONAL PART OF THE ACADEMY

• The main goal of the Academy is the proper development of young people as well as their bringing to the right way. In the Academy, the young are not taught just

how to play handball, it also possesses the educational character, which is seen from the numerous lectures held.

• The age group 1994/95, consisting of 29 attendants, listened to 26 lectures combining the behaviour culture, psychology of sports and the English language within the educational part of the work in the Academy.

• At the end of the academic year 2007/08 19 attendants successfully passed the English language test. Nineteen attendants of this age group also passed the final test on general knowledge, psychology, philosophy and pedagogy.

• The age group 1992/93, consisting of 26 attendants, listened to 26 lectures combining behaviour culture, psychology of sports, national and regional history, and the English language within the educational part of the work in the Academy.

• At the end of the academic year 2007/08, 18 attendants passed successfully the English language test, and 18 attendants also passed the final test on national and regional history.

• Attendants who have successfully finished the academic year of 2007/08 will be awarder certificates.

• The educational program was carried out by the professors - permanent lecturers at the Academy: Ivan MatiÊ, Drago GrgiÊ and Zdenko Vištica.

• The magazine “Akademija” was edited by Goran Skoko.

• Mr Josip Glavaš supervised the work of the coaches with all age groups.

• The professional team of the Academy is going to create the plan of enrolment during the summer, as well as the work plan for the academic year of 2008/09.

Apart from the mentioned, in the academic year of 2008/09

- 20 young attendants of the referee course had lectures on handball game rules;

- 45 regular meetings took place on Tuesdays - the management and coaches;

- there were 10 meetings with the parents;- 191 attendants were enrolled;- the first number of the magazine Akademija was

published - September 2007;- the first anniversary of the Academy was celebrated -

on December 8th, 2007 - with all the enrolled attendants competing in 21 teams formed for a one-day tournament in the Sports Hall;

- the second number of the magazine Akademija was published, and the presentation was held in the Club on March 28th, 2008; and

- the third number of the magazine that will be printed in September is being prepared.

Upis u novu akademsku godine obavit Êe se u dva upisna kruga, i to:

I. upisni krug - sredinom rujna 2008. iII. upisni krug - koncem rujna 2008.

• PoËetkom listopada pripremit Êe se smotra polaznika, djelatnika i sudionika Akademije uz nazoËnost roditelja, sponzora, javnosti i medija.

• Nastavit Êe se proces selektiranja i praÊenja igraËa starijih uzrasta (provoenje mjerenja, prevencije ozljeda,…).

• Nastavlja se i proširuje proces odgojno-obrazovnog rada, u ovoj akademskoj godini s tri uzrasne kategorije. Polaznici Êe slušati predavanja iz psihologije športa (grupna dinamika, uloga voe,…) te osnovnih filozofskih disciplina (antropologija, etika, sustav vrijednosti).

• Razvijat Êe se kultura ponašanja na športskim tere-nima, putovanjima, školi, obitelji, meu spolovima.

• Polaznici Akademije proširivat Êe znanje i vidike iz oblasti umjetnosti (glazba, slikarstvo,...) te nacionalne i regionalne povijesti (SpecifiËnosti BiH u sastavu turske države - Bosanski pašaluk; Kapetanije; Graditeljstvo, trgovina, gradovi; BiH u doba Osmanskog carstva; Problemi vezani za ukidanje janjiËara; H. kapetan GradašËeviÊ - voa bosanskog plemstva protiv centralne turske vlasti; Uloga provincije Bosne Srebrene u oËuvanju vjere i prvih zasada nacionalne svijesti kod Hrvata - fra Ivan Franjo JukiÊ, fra Grga MartiÊ; Hrvatski velikani - Gaj, ban JelaËiÊ, StarËeviÊ, ...).

• Nastavljaju se predavanja iz engleskog jezika (Tenses; Adjectives vs. Adverbs; Pronouns; Nouns; Articles; Reported Speech; The Passive Voice; Reading Comprehension Exercises; Everyday situations; ...), kao i hrvatskog jezika i književnosti te poslovne komunikacije (Pravopisna pravila hrvatskoga jezika;

OKVIRNI PLAN I PROGRAM RADA ZA AKADEMSKU 2008./09. GODINU

ReËenica i vrste reËenica; Kratak osvrt na hrvatski standardni jezik; PraktiËni jeziËni savjeti; Glagolski oblici; Pravila poslovne komunikacije).

• Planirat Êe se, pripremati, i izvoditi posjeti mjestima i institucijama od našeg povijesnog znaËenja, kao i upoznavati kulture i tradicije drugih država i naroda.

• Ostvarit Êe se nova i nastaviti zapoËeta suradnja s rukometnim klubovima u BiH i Hrvatskoj (Vrgorac, Split, MetkoviÊ, Zagreb, Našice,...). Nastavlja se veÊ zapoËeta suradnja s fakultetima za tjelesnu i zdravstvenu kulturu u Mostaru i Zagrebu.

• Angažirat Êe se, kao i do sada, gosti - predavaËi iz razliËitih oblasti (treneri, profesori, sveÊenici, redovnice, lijeËnici, umjetnici,...).

• Koristit Êe se još suvremenija didaktiËka sredstva i oprema, te Êe se nastava prilagoditi potrebama suvremenih športaša.

• Pratit Êe se uspjeh i vladanje polaznika Akademije u redovitim školama.

• Rad VijeÊa roditelja podiÊi Êe se na kvalitetniju, konkretniju razinu.

• Povremeno, u dogovoru s trenerima nižih uzrasta, obraivat Êe se aktualne teme.

• Rad Akademije uËinit Êe se dostupnim javnosti i sponzorima kroz izdavanje Ëasopisa, prezentacijama i konferencijama za novinare.

Na osnovu okvirnog programa rada treneri i voditelji odgojno-obrazovnog dijela napravit Êe svoje detaljne planove rada po mjesecima i tjednima.

The enrolment into the new academic year will be held in two enrolment cycles:I. cycle of enrolment - in the middle of September 2008 andII. cycle of enrolment - in the end of September 2008.

• In the early days of October there will be a parade of the students, workers and members of the Academy, accompanied by parents, sponsors, the public and the media.

• The process of selecting and monitoring older players is to be continued (measuring, preventing injuries, …).

• The educational process is going to be continued with three age groups in this academic year. The attendants will have lectures on the psychology of sports (group dynamics, the role of leaders, …) as well as the basic philosophical disciplines (anthropology, ethics, system of values, …).

• The behavioural culture at sport courts, during travels, at school, in the family, and among the sexes will be developed. The attendants of the Academy are going to widen their knowledge and horizons in arts (music, art, …), national and regional history (Specific qualities of B&H in the Turkish state - Bosnian pashalik; Civil engineering, trade, cities; B&H at the time of the Ottoman Empire; Problems connected with the abolition of janissary; Husein Captain GradašËeviÊ - the leader of the Bosnian aristocracy against the central Turkish authorities; The role of the Province of Bosna Srebrena in the protection of faith and the first tracks of the national awareness among Croats - fra Ivan Franjo JukiÊ, fra Grga MartiÊ; Croatian great men - Gaj, civil governor JelaËiÊ, StarËeviÊ,...).

• English language learning is continued (Tenses; Adjectives vs. Adverbs; Pronouns; Nouns; Articles; Reported Speech; The Passive Voice; Reading Comprehension Exercises; Everyday situations; ...), as well as lectures on the Croatian language and literature and business communication (Orthographic

rules of the Croatian language; Sentence and types of sentences; A short overview of the Croatian standard language; Practical linguistic advice; Verb forms; Business communication rules)

• Visits to different places and institutions of our historical importance, as well as learning and meeting other cultures and traditions are going to be planned, prepared, and carried out.

• The old cooperation with handball clubs from BiH and Croatia is going to be continued and the new one initiated (Vrgorac, Split, MetkoviÊ, Zagreb, Našice, ...). The cooperation with the Faculties of P. E. in Mostar and Zagreb is also to be continued.

• Guest-lecturers from different fields of study are going to be invited (coaches, professors, priests, nuns, doctors, artists, …).

• Contemporary new didactical equipment is going to be used in the classroom, and the classes will be adjusted to the needs of a contemporary sportsman.

• The success and behaviour of the members of the Academy will be monitored in their schools.

• The work of the Parents’ Council is going to be put on a more advanced level.

• Occasionally, current themes and problems will be discussed, in agreement with the coaches of younger teams.

• The work of the Academy will be made accessible to the public and sponsors through the Periodical, presentations, newspaper conferences, …

According to this general agenda, the coaches and the lecturers at the Academy will create their plans for every month and week.
