    Bluetooth compatibility

    The headset is compliant with the

    Bluetooth Specification 2.1 + EDRsupporting the Headset Profile 1.1and Hands-Free Profile 1.5. Checkwith the manufacturers of otherdevices to determine their

    compatibility with this device.

    Get started

    The headset contains the followingparts shown on the title page:indicator light (1), volume key (2),My own key (3), multifunction key(4), microphones (5), earloop (6),charger connector (7), and earpiece(8).

    Before using the headset, you mustcharge the battery and pair theheadset with a compatible device.

    Compatible chargers

    This device is intended for use whensupplied with power from thefollowing chargers: AC-3, AC-4, AC-

    5, AC-8, AC-15, and DC-4. The exactcharger model number may varydepending on the type of plug. Theplug variant is identified by one ofthe following: E, X, AR, U, A, C, K, or

    B.

    Charge the battery

    1. Connect the charger to a wall

    outlet.2. Connect the charger cable to the

    charger connector. The redindicator light is displayedduring charging.

    Charging the battery fully maytake up to 1 hour. Charging thebattery with the AC-15 chargerfor 15 minutes provides up to 2hours of talk time.

    3. When the battery is fullycharged, the green indicatorlight is displayed.

    Disconnect the charger from theheadset, then from the wall

    outlet. This saves energy, aschargers consume a smallamount of power whenconnected to a wall outlet, evenwhen not charging.

    The fully charged battery has powerfor up to 6 hours of talk time or upto 180 hours of standby time.

    To check the battery charge whenthe headset is not connected to acharger, press the multifunction keywhen the headset is connected to amobile device. If the indicator lightis green, the charge level issufficient. If the light is yellow, youmay need to recharge the batterysoon. If the light is red, recharge thebattery.

    When the battery charge is low, theheadset beeps every 5 minutes andthe red indicator light flashes.

    Switch on or off

    To switch on, press and hold themultifunction key for about 2seconds. The headset beeps, and thegreen indicator light flashes slowlywhile the headset tries to connect

    devices. When the headset isconnected to at least one device andis ready for use, the blue indicator

    light flashes slowly. If the headsethas not been paired with a device, itautomatically enters pairing mode.

    To switch off, press and hold themultifunction key for about 5seconds. The headset beeps, and thered indicator light is brieflydisplayed. If the headset is notconnected to a device within about30 minutes, it switches off

    automatically.

    Pair and connect the headset

    Before using the headset, you mustpair and connect it to a compatible

    device.You can pair the headset with up toeight devices, but you can connectit to a maximum of two devices at atime.

    1. Make sure your mobile device isswitched on and the headset isoff.

    2. If the headset has not beenpreviously paired with a device,switch on the headset. Theheadset enters pairing mode, andthe blue indicator light starts toflash quickly.

    If the headset has beenpreviously paired with a device,make sure the headset isswitched off, and press and holdthe multifunction key for about 5seconds until the blue indicatorlight starts to flash quickly.

    3. Within about 3 minutes, activate

    the Bluetooth feature on yourdevice, and set it to search forBluetooth devices. For details,see the user guide of your mobiledevice.

    4. Select the headset from the listof found devices.

    5. If necessary, enter the passcode0000to pair and connect theheadset to your device.

    In some devices, you may need tomake the connection separately

    after pairing.When the headset is connected toat least one device and is ready foruse, the blue indicator light flashesslowly.

    To manually connect the headset tothe last or two last used devices,press and hold the multifunction

    key for about 2 seconds (when nodevices are connected), or make theconnection in the Bluetooth menu

    of the desired device. If you have adevice connected to the headsetand want to connect a seconddevice, make the connection in theBluetooth menu of the device.

    You may be able to set your deviceso that the headset connects to itautomatically. To activate thisfeature in a Nokia device, modifythe paired device settings in the

    Bluetooth menu.

    Basic use

    Change the earpad

    The headset is provided withdifferent sized earpads. Select the

    earpad that fits the best and is themost comfortable for your ear.

    To change the earpad, pull the

    current earpad from the earpiece,

    and push the new earpad into place(13).

    Place the headset on the earTo place the headset on the ear,gently push the earpiece againstyour ear. Point the headset towardsyour mouth (11). You can rotate the

    earpad to keep the headset securelyin the ear (14). For example, if youuse the headset on the right ear, youmay need to rotate the earpad tothe right for the best fit. If you wear

    an earring, make sure it is notaccidentally attached to the earpad.

    To use the headset with the earloop,attach the earloop (12). To detachthe earloop, gently pull it from the

    headset.To place the headset on the earwhen you use the earloop, push theearloop with your finger (9), andslide the earloop behind your ear

    (10). Gently push the earpiece

    against your ear. Point the headsettowards your mouth (11). Push orpull the earloop to set its length.

    Change the volume

    Slide the volume key up or down. Tochange the volume quickly, slideand hold the key.

    The selected volume level is savedfor the device that is currentlyconnected to the headset.

    Calls

    To make a call, use your mobiledevice in the normal way when theheadset is connected to it.

    To redial the number you last called(if your mobile device supports this

    feature with the headset), when nocall is in progress, press themultifunction key twice.

    To activate voice dialling (if yourmobile device supports this feature

    with the headset), when no call is in

    progress, press and hold themultifunction key for about 2seconds. Proceed as described in the

    user guide of the mobile device.

    To answer or end a call, press themultifunction key. To reject a call,press this key twice.

    To mute or unmute the microphoneduring a call, press the middle of thevolume key. The headset beeps, anda related icon is displayed on yourdevice (if supported by the device).

    To switch a call between theheadset and a compatibleconnected device, press and holdthe multifunction key for about 2seconds.

    Manage two callsTo manage two calls with theheadset at the same time, yourmobile device must support theBluetooth Hands-Free Profile 1.5,

    and call waiting must be activatedin the device. Call waiting is anetwork service and is available

    when the headset is connected toonly one device.

    To answer a waiting call and end theactive call, press the multifunctionkey.

    To answer a waiting call and put theactive call on hold, press and holdthe multifunction key for about 2seconds.

    To end the active call and make thecall on hold active, press themultifunction key.

    To switch between the active calland the call on hold, press and hold

    the multifunction key for about 2seconds.

    Connect to two devices

    You can connect the headset to two

    devices at the same time.

    By default, the headset can only beconnected to one device at a time.To allow the headset to connect to

    two devices, switch off the headset,and press and hold themultifunction key, and slide andhold the volume key up for about 5seconds. The green indicator light

    flashes once.To allow the headset to connect toonly one device, switch off theheadset, and press and hold themultifunction key, and slide and

    hold the volume key down for about5 seconds. The yellow indicator lightflashes once.

    Pair and connect to two devices

    To pair the headset with twodevices, switch on the headset, putit into pairing mode, and pair it withthe first device. Switch off theheadset, put it into pairing mode,

    and pair it with the second device.

    To connect the headset to the twodevices, switch the headset off andback on.

    Handle calls

    If the headset can connect to twodevices at the same time and youuse redialling or voice dialling, the

    call is made on the device that youlast used to make a call when theheadset was connected to it.

    To answer a call on one connecteddevice and end the active call on theother device, press themultifunction key.

    To answer a call on one connecteddevice and put the active call onhold on the other device, press andhold the multifunction key for about2 seconds.

    To end the active call on oneconnected device and make the call

    on hold active on the other device,press the multifunction key.

    To switch between the active call onone device and the call on hold onthe other device, press and hold themultifunction key for about 2seconds.

    Turn lights on or offBy default, the indicator lights areshown in all situations. To turn thelights off in some situations (forexample, during a call or when the

    headset is connected to a mobiledevice), press and hold themultifunction key, and slide andhold the volume key down for about5 seconds when the headset is

    connected to a device. The yellowindicator light flashes once.

    To turn the lights back on, press andhold the multifunction key, and slideand hold the volume key up for

    about 5 seconds. The greenindicator light flashes once.

    Clear settings or resetTo clear all the settings from theheadset (including settings youhave defined with the NokiaAccessory Setup Application),

    switch off the headset, and pressand hold the multifunction key forabout 8 seconds. The headset beepstwice, and the red and greenindicator lights alternate. After the

    settings are cleared, the headsetenters pairing mode.

    To reset the headset if it stopsfunctioning, even though it ischarged, connect the headset to a

    charger while you press and holdthe multifunction key.

    Troubleshooting

    If you cannot connect the headset

    to your compatible device, make
