    Oaklet Shawl

    A small triangular shawl with an easy lacyborder, the Oaklet is a pretty little accessorythat you can wear around your neck or

    across your shoulders. In the size shown,Oaklet uses about one skein of fingeringweight yarn. Its worked on relatively largeneedles for extra drape, and the pattern iseasy to modify.

    Finished measurements48 inches wide x 20 inches at the point (blocked)

    MaterialsFingering weight yarn, 1 skein 100gm/350m. Shown inSweatermaker Yarns Merino Silk 4-ply. (The shawl shownused the entire350m).

    Supplies3.75mm circular needles, 24 long.

    tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers

    Tension/gauge22 sts, 33 rows = 4 inches of stocking stitch. Gauge is not

    essential for this project, however a smaller shawl might betoo small to reach around your shoulders.

(Note: if you want to make a larger shawl, you can increase the number of repsby multiples of 4, for example, 59, 63, 67, 71, 75, etc. Before you start your border, the number of sts, minus 9, should return

    an even number when divided by 8).
