Project Title 3: Dry & Dip Type Oil Continuity, Oil & Water Ways LTM for Cylinder Head

Client: Mahindra & Mahindra, Pune & VOLVO EICHER COMMERCIAL VEHICLES (VECV), Gurgaon.

Duration: 1.8 year

Description: This project is aimed to check the Oil continuity passage system. If Oil continuity is OK,

then leakages in the water & oil ways of the cylinder head will be checked. The component is clamped

& then the plugging assemblies will plug the specific waterways/oil ways of the component &

pressurized air is passed to check the leakages.

Tool used: Solid works, Autodesk Inventor, Creo & ERP.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Preparation of component & concept layout.

Preparation of DAP, machine layout, fixture and conveyor layout.

Preparation of part/manufacturing drawings & long lead items.

Client: Volvo Buses & TVS.

Duration: 1.3 year & 1 year.

Description: This project includes design and development of bus Interior plastic parts like

Finishers, Trims and cover panels with ABS and FRP materials. The major focus is developing the

plastic parts at driver places and Rear wall area.

Tool used: Solid Works, Creo 2.0, AutoCAD, KOLA (PDM).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Study of the project prerequisites from all stake holders of the project.

Studying and identifying the concepts of similar parts in other sites and considering the same

design methodologies.

Coordinating the Concept review meetings and Design review meetings with all stake

holders and making them understand the concepts prepared and chose the best possible.

Generative Shape & Part design modules were used for creation of components.

Creating manufacturing drawings to develop the part and making the initial release of the

part & any modification in Interior portion for all bus models like City & Intercity coaches.

Once the proto build done all parts will be production release and releasing the drawing to

serial production (SP).
