Worksite set-upThe initial machine set-up at a new worksite is an autonomousand very rapid process, as all the units required are carried bythe machine itself.
After the initial set-up, continuation of work at the worksiteonly requires the exchange of the sleeper or rail and sleepertransport wagons; thus there is no interruption to the tracklaying process.
Rail and sleeper transportationThe adjacent drawing shows the procedure when the choice ismade to pull the rails from the machine onto the platform. Thissolutions avoids trains crossing on the work-site.

2 winches at the front of the TCM to pull the rail to theX
system2 pairs of driven rollers under the WES, to push the railsX
To guide the rails and to avoid any damage to the platform, supportrollers are placed manually every 10 meters directly onto theplatform.
These rollers are picked up when the sleepers are laid.
Rail pulling on the platformThis operation, which is not simultaneous with the sleeper
laying, requires the following equipment:
1 caterpillar tractor XGuiding rollers to be installed along the machine and theXsupplementary wagonRollers to be placed every 10 meters along the platformX
Rail passage holders
Rail guidinghead

Track laying unitThe technique used for laying the sleepers is the same as thatdeveloped and used on the latest generation of track renewaltrains. Thanks to its rapid, short movements, this laying unit isrenown as the most reliable and accurate currently available onthe market.
Drawings 1 to 5 on the left show the sleeper’s cinematic in thelaying unit.
Drawings 6 and 7 show that before adjusting the distancebetween the sleepers, they are laid on the track formationensuring constant and regular spacing.

Cabin work postsThe cabin of the TCM 60 features two work posts:
one for laying the sleepers and guiding the machineXone for laying the rails on the sleepersX
