Past แปลวา่ อดีตเพราะฉะนัน้ Past Tense

จะพูดถึงเหตกุารณ์ในอดีต

PAST TENSE ประกอบด้วย

•Past Simple•Past Continuous•Past Perfect•Past Perfect Continuous

PAST SIMPLE TENSE

•ใชก้ับการเล่าเรื่องในอดีต •ใชก้ับการเล่ากิจวตัรประจำาวนัในอดีต

PAST CONTINUOUS

•ใชกั้บการเล่าเรื่องในอดีต •ใชกั้บเหตกุารณ์ท่ีกำาลังเกิดขึ้นในอดีต

การเล่าเรื่อง PAST SIMPLE VS PAST CONTINUOUS

•การเล่าเรื่อง ถ้าใช ้Past Simple ก็ต้องใช ้Past Simple ทัง้หมด เชน่กัน ถ้าใช ้Past

Continuous ก็ต้องใช ้Past Continuous

•การบอกเวลา ต้องใช ้Past Simple

PAST PERFECT

•ใชกั้บเหตกุารณ์ท่ีจบไปแล้วในอดีต

PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS

•ใชกั้บเหตกุารณ์ในอดีตท่ีเกิดขึ้นแล้วมาซกัพกั

S+HAD+BEEN+Ving

คำาบอกเวลาใน PAST PERFECT และPAST PER.CON.

•แต่คำาบอกเวลาต้องเป็น PAST SIMPLE เท่านัน้

PAST TENSE• Past Simple - I did my homework yesterday.• Past Continuous - I was doing my homework while they were watching TV.• Past Perfect - I had done my homework when

he arrived.• Past Per.Con. - I had been doing my homework

for 3 hours when he arrived.

PREPOSITION

Preposition คือ คำาบุพบทPre = ก่อน Position = ตำาแหน่งPreposition = คำาท่ีทำาหน้าท่ีบอกตำาแหน่ง

PREPOSITION มี 2 รูปแบบ คือ

PREPOSITION OF PLACE

ใชใ้นการบอกตำาแหน่งได้แก่ In On At Into

ATWe use at for a point:at the window - at the entrance - at the doorat the end of the street - at the station - at the topBill is waiting for you at the bus stop.

1. We say that someone is at an event:2. We say at with buildings when we say where the event (film, concert,...) takes

at a party - at a pop concert - at a conference - at a meeting

Where were you yesterday? At the cinema.

Tom is at a party. The meeting took place at the headquarters.

ONWe use on for a surface:on the wall - on the ceiling - on the floor - on a page on a coverHave you seen the notice on the notice board?

1. We use on with small islands: 2. We say that a place is on the coast / on a river / on a road:

She spent her holiday on a small island. London is on the river Thames.

  Portsmouth is on the south coast of England.

INWe use in for an enclosed space:in the garden - in the house - in London - in the waterin her bag - in a row - in a townThere is nobody in the room. She lives in a small village.

INTOWe say go into / come into etc. = enter a room / building etc.:He opened the door and went into the room.

1. We say in when we talk about a building itself.

2. We usually say in with towns and villages:

The rooms of Tom's house are small. His parents live in York.

TOWe say go / come / travel / fly / walk / return / drive / have been etc. to a place or event:Last year we flew to London. We went to work at seven.

BYWe say by to say how we travel:We went to Paris by plane. I usually go to work by bike / by car / by underground / by bus

PREPOSITION OF TIME

ONWe use on with dates and days:on 12 March - on Friday(s) - on Friday morning(s)on Sunday afternoon(s) - on Saturday night(s)on Christmas Day (but at Christmas)

INWe use in for longer periods of time:in April - in 1986 - in winter - in the 19th century - in the 1970s - in the morning(s) / in the afternoon(s) / in the evening(s)In + how long it takes to do somethingI learned to drive in four weeks.

DURINGWe use during + noun to say when something happens:during the film - during our holiday - during the nightWe met a lot of interesting people during our holiday.I fell asleep during the film.

FORWe use for + a period of time expressing duration:for six years - for two hours - for a weekI've lived in this house for six years. They have been watching TV for two hours.

SINCEWe use since + a starting point, a specific time:since April - since 1992 - since 8 o' clockIt has been raining since one o' clock. They've known each other since they were at school.

UNTILWe use until/till to say how long a situation continues:Let's wait until it stops raining. I stayed in bed until half past nine.
