how to get the most out o

    your visit with us.

By Mike Rose, Senior PastorIt is a pleasure to welcome you and your amily to First Federated Church

this morning. Each Sunday is a celebration o the relationship we have with

Jesus. Easter holds special signicance in marking the day Jesus rose rom the

grave. In doing this He demonstrated Gods power over sin and death

and displayed Gods unmatched glory. We hope that what you will

personally experience here today will make the resurrection a reality.

I want to take this opportunity to share some exciting events taking

place at First Federated Church. First, a new pastor has joined our

ministry sta. Curt De Graa has recently

begun developing and overseeing a ocused

ministry to young adults. His area o ministry includes young

singles, couples and amilies, and college students. Following

todays service you can meet Pastor Curt and his wie Karen

to learn more about how this exciting new ministry ocus

may be o benet to you.

Second, were expanding our Sundaymorning ministries. On Sunday, April 6, we

will begin oering a traditional service. Tom

Brown, lead singer o Journey Bound Quartet,

will be the worship leader and I will be the

primary teacher. Our new traditional service

will be held each Sunday, 89:00am.

On June 1, we will begin a new contemporary

    service. Contemporary Christian recording artist

David Bush will lead worship and Pastor Curt will

be the lead teacher. Our new contemporary service

will be held in our chapel and will be oered each

Sunday, 9:1510:30am. During this time slot, we will

continue to oer a ull complement o adult educationand childrens ministry programming.

Finally, our present blended service will continue to be

oered or those who enjoy a mixture o worship styles. Pastor Mike Howland will continue

to lead worship and I will be the primary speaker or this service as well.

We are excited about the new ministries, times and worship environments that we are

oering. We invite you and your amily to check out the ministries First Federated oers. We

believe you will nd a place where you can develop a growing relationship with God, connect

with other believers and use your unique abilities to serve God and help others.

    Have a blessed Resurrection Day!

There are now 2500 Muslim mosques around the US. Manytimes Muslim leaders will take millions o dollars o their oil

money and oer to endow a Department o Middle Eastern Stud-

ies at a university. Next, they purchase land and build a mosque

right across rom the campus and begin services there. Over the

last ten years, these Muslim activists have come to understand

that American college students are some o the most recruitable,

trainable, and sendable categories o persons on the planet. They

believe that i they can win the American college student today,

they can win the world tomorrow. We must do battle right here in

nw arrDale and Marilyn Ogle became

    the proud great-grandparents o

    Chloe Elizabeth Woodard on

March 12. The Ogles are delighted

to have Chloe and her parents, Rick and Emily Woodard, right in

their neighborhood. Welcome to our extended Federated amily,

    little one!

Pr/Chd DdcParents desiring to have their baby dedicated to the Lord will

be given this opportunity during the morning worship service on

    April 20.

First Federated Church does not baptize inants. We believe

that baptism is a step o obedience made by a person who has

put his aith and trust in Jesus Christ or salvation. Baptism is an

outward expression o what has already occurred in the lie o a

    believer.

In Parent/Child Dedication, parents and church make a public

commitment to train up a child in the way he should go, as God

instructs in Proverbs 22:6. We celebrate the git o l ie, ask Godsblessing upon parents and children, and pray together that each

child will trust Jesus as Savior and Lord someday.

Please contact Mary in the Childrens Ministry oce at 255.2122

to be included in the April service or or more inormation.
