AFS oers a unique Total Concept or the air cooler (ACHE) and air cooled condenser (ACC)applications that we oer as an integral service package.

The combination o dierent disciplines makes it an integral approach unique in its kind or o air-coolers and

air cooled condenser systems.Through our own hands-on approach combined with yearso experience in manuacturing and design o ACHE and ACC(through GEA Btt), there is literally no single problem AFS cantsolve on ACHE or ACC applications.Through our vast network within the GEA group and strategicpartners, AFS is able to oer a unique concept in the world toupgrade and maintain ACHE and ACC perormances. The main goal o our services is to overcome cooling/condensingproblems by improving overall ACHE & ACC perormances andefciency. We apply this on any type o Air Cooler such as FinFans, Airfn Coolers, etc.

Our own measuring instrumentsand simulation sotware enable usto measure and evaluate possiblenoise reduction. In certain cases, e.g. at a FrenchRefnery, we succeeded in decreasingnoise by as much as 7.7 dBA, combinedwith a perormance improvement othe existing air coolers. We achievethis by installing special low noiseans, drives and diusers. Our noise prediction sotware willindicate how much te actual noise

level (PWL & SPL) can be reduced.

As the only complete solution orAir Cooled Heat Exchanger (ACHE)& Air Cooled Condenser (ACC)applications on the market, weknow how important it is or youto protect your investment. This is where AFS comes in withour in-house Total ProductiveMaintenance Program, whichwill analyse and optimize theentire ACHE & ACC applicationchain. Part o the program willalso include on-site training or

AFS is specialized in external cleaning o nned tube bundles. We are able to clean the nned tube bundlesin many dierent ways depending on air cooler layout, conguration, environment and your specialrequirements.

The results are antastic. Cleaning removes the obstructions or the air. This can lead to cooling capacity increaseby as much as 50 to 60%.

    Powerful water beam through bundles

    es

A at razor-blade sharp water beam is used to remove ouling rom between the fns. This cleaning process uses only water, no chemicals.Waterpressureis80100bar,ow150or300l/min.By using the correct nozzle angles the water beam penetrates between the fns o all tube rows. The nozzle beam is moved over the bundles by pneumatic or electric drives, avoiding operators standing on the coolers.Cleaning can be done during operationThe cleaning unit is a light weight construction to be positioned on top o the bundles or on rails installed on the coolerbindles.

One cleaning system can handle 2 4 air coolers inone day shit.Obstructions like louvers can be dealt with byinstalling rails between the bundle rame and thelouvers.

The cleaning-water can be collected and reused atercleaning.

The principal objective o the External Cleaning Training on Air Cooled Heat Exchangers fnned tube bundles is to enableYour organisation (or Your sub-contractor) to acquire the skills and expertise required to conduct outstanding andindependent external cleaning o air-cooled heat exchanger fnned tube bundles in view o increasing Air Cooler Heat Duty. This program will enable you to improve your external cleaning results by an average 20-40% versus the conventionalcleaning techniques.GEA AIRFLOW SERVICES courses are taught onsite by a proessional instructor with frst class working knowledge andextensive practical experience, ensuring frst-rate instruction, product insight and experience-based learning. The training

will include customer sta technical instruction, recommendation reports, and priority customer support or a set periodo time or training o the customers local cleaner (sub-contractor)

A ogging system (peak cooling) can be defned as a series o misting nozzles that are placed in a tubing and pressurizedtoprovidea nespray,usuallywithdropletsbetween15micronsand50micronsin size.Toaccomplishthis,themistsystemrequirespressureofatleast50Bar(725PSI).Belowthispressure,itwillproducelargerdropletsandresultininefcient cooling. The principle is ounded on the cooling o theair at a temperature close to its temperatureo adiabatic saturation per water evaporation.Depending on climatic environment, a properlydesigned ogging system can decrease the inletairtemperaturebyasmuchas12C(54F)whichin turn increases considerably your coolingcapacity (see graph illustration).
