    Dear Friends in Christ:

Christmas, New Years, "Dia de los Reyes Magos" (Jan. 6), Valentine's (Day ofFriendship), Flag Day ( Feb. 24), Student's Day, Childrens Day, Mother's Day, Father'sDay, schools close, and the year is half overll "Time Flies" they say, and we areconvinced that it keeps pace vdth our faster modes of travellll

We have lived in Mexico since Nov. 1955, have seen many changes, have had morejoys than disappointments, and people, and even places have come said gene. We hadvisitors recently >dio again made us realize our 3J,ves in Mexico have been worth while:One woman an ex-student, came to thank us for the Christian education she had receivedasking us to pray for her unconverted husband; and teenagers facing the world. Anotherlady past 40, also from afar, visited with her husband, and thanked us for living aChristian life before her, and giving her Christian literature and a N.T. for sheaccepted the Lord after she left here, and later led her husband to know Him. They areraising their children and grandchildren in the church and reaching out to her familyand his, back in the Sierra Madre. A man we taught in our home for many years wasbaptized last year, and Is now coming to us for help in preparing short sermonsll Sayshis "mission field" is in his home of 12 childrenll

Our older children too have come and gene: Oscar, 36, still works in City-Inspection, and wife, Susy, with Water Resources. Only sen, Oscar, starts first grade in Sept. Bob, 35, wife Berta, and 3 girls, live in Idaho, and visited us last sunmer.Kathy, 33, husband Dale, a sen and two daugthers, now live in Oregcn. Dale was not ableto come here with his family in May as he is teaching in a Christian school.

Veva, 21, received her B.Sc. and prepares for a career as an Air Hostess, Becky20, also with a B.Sc. after a year in the U.S., will begin her second year at theUniversity del Noroeste, in Psychology. Gerry still teaches, preaches, plans for thework in general, and spends much time with the "unchurched" upper middle and professionalclasses, counseling as the opportunity presents. He still limps from that broken snklfi, lost a molar last week, but still has the rest of his teeth and most of his hair.Geneva? Well,, it's "ask Dona Veva; Dcala Veva will do it; Dona Veva knows 1" Frangiving shots to treating bums, making birthday cakes, looking for information, explainingsimple instructions, or the Scriptures. As in Gerry's case it adds up to a trustedfriend and neighbor and opportunities to witness.

Like everyone in Mexico we have been affected deeply by the 50^/year/lO yearsinflation. Devaluation in Mexico of the peso only resulted in stores marking up theirprices and more "no hay" (there isn't any), But through it all the Lord has blessed usin other ways, and we rest assijired that He wiJJ. continue to bless us as we serve Him;also, that He will bless you as you continue to help us serve Him via your love, gifts, and prayers.

    Love in Him,
