表语从句在复合句中作表语 , 放在系动词之后 , 一般结构是“主语 + 系动词 + 表语从句”。可以接表语从句的系动词有 be, look,

remain, seem 等。引导表语从句的 that 常可省略。另外 , 常用的还有 the reason why …

is that … 和 It is because … 等结构。

During this summer holiday, I thought I should do

something meaningful instead of staying at home and

watching TV, so I got a job at a KFC fast food

restaurant and worked there as a cleaner, every day I

went to work early in the morning and got home late

in the evening. I worked seven hours a day for three

weeks. The job was hard and boring, which made me

so tired that I almost quit half way. However, I stuck

to it. Finally I finished the job before the new school

term began. Now I understand what labor means. I

think it was really a successful experience.
