2nd annual MCADC 2015

Dear Industry Colleagues, On behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, I would like to welcome the Guests of Honour, VIPs, sponsors, supporters, delegates and exhibitors to our 2nd Annual Myanmar Civil Aviation Development Conference.

Myanmar’s civil aviation sector has undergone tremendous growth since the opening of the country’s economy in 2011. We have hit record high visitor arrivals in 2014. We expect a further growth of 20% in 2015. The supply of international flights (in weekly seats) has also doubled to nearly 100,000, as compared to 2012. This strong data is a testament of the potential of the Myanmar aviation sector and is a positive indicator to potential investors and partners in this buoyant sector.

The Myanmar Government is committed to the growth of the civil aviation sector. We have undertaken new initiatives including the liberalisation of regulations and infrastructure expansion. MCADC 2015 will be the platform for unparalleled access to Myanmar aviation stakeholders that allow them to exchange ideas and engaged with their peers.

I wish all the participants of the MCADC 2015 every success and prosperity.

Yours sincerely,

H.E. U Nyan Htun AungUnion MinisterMinistry of TransportRepublic of the Union of Myanmar

Dear lndustry Colleagues,On behalf of the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), I would like to welcome all of you to the 2nd Annual Myanmar Civil Aviation Development Conference (MCADC), which will be held at Sedona Hotel Yangon from the 23rd to 26th March 2015.

2014 was definitely a fruitful year to the development of civil aviation in Myanmar. We launched the new aviation master plan with 4 key focuses - liberalising regulations, strengthening connectivity, expanding infrastructure and enhancing competitiveness. This was unveiled in the country’s first ever civil aviation conference - MCADC 2014.

We are happy to once again host MCADC 2015. 2015 is definitely a significant year to the aviation sector in Myanmar with the implementation of ASEAN Open Skies Policy. lt will definitely start a new page in the history of civil aviation not only in Myanmar but also the entire ASEAN region. We are pleased with the new refreshed format of MCADC 2015. This remains the country’s only key aviation conference that convenes various local and international movers and shakers.

I would like to warmly welcome all the Guests of Honour, VlPs, sponsors, supporters, delegates and exhibitors to the Golden Land in March 2015 and look forward to growing Myanmar as the next aviation hub.

Yours sincerely,

U Win Swe TunDirector GeneralDepartment of Civil AviationRepublic of the Union of Myanmar
