abuse people.

two attributes: telling lie and

A (true) believer should have

the following eight

characteristics: soberness at

hard times, patience in

reliefs, contentment for

whatever the Great andGlorified God has given,

avoidance from oppressing

enemies and hurting friends,

and toleration of physical

sufferings to make people feel

safe from him.

 ه د  ي و.

A (true) Muslim is the one

from whose tongue and hand,

Muslims at rest stand.

A believer does his best in

what his ability demands, but

craves for what beyond his

power stands.

A believer does not resort to

  jealousy or flattery, save in

seeking knowledge.

natures save treachery and

telling lie.

A believer has four enemies: a  jealous believer, a detesting

hypocrite, a deviating Satan,

and a hostile infidel.

A believer is a servant of God

who doesn’t oppress his

enemies nor does he commit

sins for the sake of his friends,

who keeps trusts intact and

refrains from jealousy,

sarcasm and cursing others,

who tells the truth though not

called to bear witness and

calls not people with bad

names, who observes humility

in prayers, hastes in paying his

due alms, keeps patient incalamities and thanks (God) in

affluence, who is content with

what he has and claims not

what he doesn’t, who doesn’t

stop doing good deeds due to

misery, who keeps companywith people to learn and talks

to them something to earn,

and who forebears oppression

and tyranny, awaiting the

Merciful God to give him

victory.

 ه لا د م  حي و هو ؛ه ي ـ ب ن ج ني ـ.

A believer is in a good state all

the time; even when he is on

the verge of death, he praises

God.

 ص ق ـن ـ مل ت  وزن ن ا و ؛ تر  محا ا ه ـي ل ع ت خ ف  .ن

A believer is like unto a bar of 

gold, getting reddened when

breathed upon and losing

nothing when weighed.

A believer is like unto a date

palm; whatever you take from

it will be to your benefit.

 ك ع ف ـنه ت كرا ش نإ و ، ك ع ف ـنه ت ي ش م نإ و ، ك ع ف ـن.

A believer is like unto a

perfumer who will benefit

you, should you keep

company with him, or move

along with him, or be a

partner to him.

A believer is like unto a sieve,

receiving nothing but clean

and passing nothing but pure.

bending to all sides by winds

but staying calm and static

when winds vanish. Blightsmake a believer bend in same

manner. The wicked (on the

contrary) is like unto a spruce-

fir standing firm and straight

till the Exalted God destroys it

should He wish.

A believer is like unto a stalk

shaken by wind, standing and

collapsing alternatively, and

an unbeliever is like unto a

pine standing all the time

against the wind to be finally

uprooted.

A believer is like unto an

apparently ruined house,

being neat and beautiful

inside, and a wicked person is

like unto a domed elevated

tomb making visitors excited

but being inwardly filled with

infection.

A believer is more favorite to

God than some of His angels.

؛ ● ن م ؤ م ا مه ا سانا م ظ ع دن ياهأ ر مأ  يـ ه ت م ه  ر خآ ر م .وأ

A believer is more worried

about the affairs of this and

the next worlds than others.

● ر جا فا و ؛ مي ر ك غ ر ن م ؤ  ئ ي مملا .خ ب

A believer is noble and

generous, and an evildoer is

ignoble and deceitful.

● ر ـي س  ي ن م ؤ  ةملا  ؤن

A believer is satisfied with

little.

A believer is shrewd, careful

and cautious.

A believer is so lenient and

gentle that one might call him

stupid.

A believer is the brother of 

another believer and never

connives at wishing him good.

ع لى ● سانا ه ن مأ ن م ن م ؤ  مملا هلاو مأ و م ه س ف ـ نأ

 م ه  م ائ د و.

A believer is the one whom

people consider honest as to

their lives, wealth and blood.

● ه ت ي شا م نإ ،ة ع ف ـن م ن م ؤ إنملا و ، ك ع ف ـن

 ي ش ،وك ل ك ع ف ـن ه ت كرا ش نإ و ، ك ع ف ـن ه  ر وا شء ة ع ف ـن م هر مأ ن م.

A believer is the source of benefit. He will avail you,

should you keep his company,

counsel with him and become

his partner. He is the cause of 

benefit in all affairs.

A believer is zealous, but God is

more zealous than him.

A believer makes friends (with

people), and there is no good in

the one who does not makefriends and is not subject of 

friendship.

A believer must not feel

satiated, with his neighbor

being hungry.

● ل ث م ك نا  اميإل و ن م ؤ ملا ل ث ميف لو  جي سر فا

 ة ت ي خأ يفع جر ـي مث ، ه ت ي خأ.

A believer to (his) faith is like

unto a horse to its stable

around which it moves about

(for a while) and then returns

to it.

● نا ي ـن ـ ب ا ك ن م ؤ م ل  ن م ؤ ملا ـ ع ض هـ ع ض ا .ي  ش د

A believer to a believer is like

unto a building a part of which

fortifies another.

● نا ي ـن ـ ب ا ك ن م ؤ م ل  ن م ؤ ؛ ي  ش دملا ص و صر 

ملا   عض هـ ع ض ا .

A believer to a believer is like

unto a firm building, parts of

which fortifying one another.

 سأرا يف ام  .

A believer to other believers is

like head to the body, suffering

from their pains just as head

suffers from the pains of the

body.

A believer who associates

with people and patiently

tolerates their harms is better

than the believer who does

not do so.

ج ح رال يـ ل دغملا ن مني ر م.

A believer will not be bitten

twice from the same hole.

● ن م ؤ م ك ت ف ـي ال.A believer will not kill anybody

in ambush warfare.

يف ظ ل ● ة ما ي قا م و ـي ن م ؤ ق ت هملا د ص.

A believer will reside under

the shade of his alms in the

Day of Judgment.

  ص  والما ي ن م ه  ه لا ر ف ك الإ نز ح الو ىذأ الو م ق س

 ها  يا ط خ.

A believer won't be exposed

to any suffering, hardship,

disease, harm and sorrow,

unless God ignores some of 

his sins (in lieu of them).

● ن م ن م ؤ ملا جور خ ت ه ـب ش امال ن يا ا اد

اغ م  ك ذ ن م ه م أ ن ط  ن م ص يبا جور خ ل ث مـ ي ا ن اد حور ىلإ ة م ل ظا و.

A believer’s departure from

this (secular)world is like unto

an infant’s deliverance from

his mother’s womb, leaving

darkness and distress towards

the world’s ease and

expansion.

● ، ل ي لا  ه ما ي ق ن م ؤ ملا فر شهؤا ن غ ت سا هز ع و

 سانا ن ع.

A believer’s dignity lies in

standing up to prayer at

nights, and his greatness lies

in needlessness from people.

A believer’s dream is a

servant’s talk to his Lord in

sleep.

● ة ت س ن مءز ج ن م ؤ  ي  ا ملا ؤرن م ءز ج ني ع  رأ و ةو ـبنا.

A believer’s dream is one

among the forty- six units of 

prophethood.

● 

ني ع  رأ ن م ءز ج ن م ؤ  ي  ا ملا ؤرن م ءز ج  ث  د حي مل ا م ر  ط ائ ل جر ىل ع ي هو ،ةو ـبنا

A believer's dream is one

among the forty units

comprising prophethood. Itis

tied to the leg of a bird as long

as not revealed, but it will fall

down if

the reverse occurs. Thus,

reveal not your dreams to

anybody save the wise orintimate friends.

،ه ل م ع ن م ر ـي خ ن م ؤ  ملا ة ي   ناف قن ملا ل م ع و  ل م ع اذا ف ،ه ت ي  ع لى ن ل م ع ـي ،وك ل ه ت ي  ن ن م ر ـي خيف را  ن ال م ع ن م ؤ 

رملا و ـن ه ب ل ـ ق.

A believer’s intention is better

than his deed, while a

hypocrite’s deed is better

than his intention, and

everybody acts upon his own

intention. When a believer

does an action, a (sort of) light

passes through his heart.

● ؤ  ي ةملا م نن غ ل ـ أ ن مه ل م ع.

A believer’s intention is more

significant than his deeds.

● ذ خأ ك ن م ؤ 

ةملا د عد ي ا A believer’s promise is a

binding commitment.

● ة د ع و ، ن  ي د ن م ؤ ملا ة د عذ خأ ك ن م ؤ 

ملا د ي ا .

A believer’s promise is a debt,

and a binding commitment.

A believer’s promise is a must

(he shouldn’t miss).

A believer’s sickness is the

atonement of his sins.

● ف ل ك ت م ل  تا مال ع ثال  ذا:ث ا ق ل م ت ـي ة ب ي ص م ا  ت م ش  ي و ، با غ اذ ا با ت غ ـي و ، ر ض ح.

A boaster has three traits:

flattering in (people's)

presence, backbiting in

(people') absence, and

clapping in people's

calamities.

● ه ما ع ط كو ل م م ل  ه  و س كوالو ، فور ع م ا   ق ي ط  ي ا م الإ ل م عا ن م ف ل ك  ي.

A bondservant should be fed

and dressed properly and be

not burdened with intolerable

tasks.

● ه نأ و ؛ ب ل قاةر  مث د  واة   زن حمة ل خ ب مة ن ـ ب  جم.

A child is the fruit of one’s

heart, and thereby the sourceof fear, miserliness and grief.

one gains.

A creditor will be in chains in

his grave, and nothing can

make him free but paying his

debts.

ف ك ت م ه؛ ● م ل ع ن ع ل ئ س ن من م ما ج ل  م  جل أ را  .ن

A curb of fire will be put on

the mouth of whoever

conceals his knowledge when

asked to offer it.

● نا مز سانا ى ل ع ني  أ ي  ه ي ف ب ي  ك ذا ه ي ف ق ي  ص د و ، ق دا صاه ي ف نو خيو ، ب ذا ك

  ملو ءر ملا د ه ش  ي و ، ن و ـ ئ  خلا ن  مت ؤ ـي و ، ني مألا

  نو ك  ي و ، ف ل ح ت س  ي مل نإ و ف ل  حي و ، د ه ش ت س  ي  ن م ؤ ـي ال ، ع ك  ن  ع ك  ا ي ـ ن  اد سانا د ع سأ

 ه  و سرو ه لا .

A day will come to pass when

people would belie the

truthful and approve of the

liars and would regard the

honest treacherous and the

treacherous honest, when

men will bear witness without

being required and will swear

without being asked to, and

when the most fortunate

people would be ignoble, sons

of the ignoble, who would be

bereft of the belief in God and

His prophet.

● ل جرا ه ل كأ  ي  ا ر م هر دم ل ع ـي و هو د شأ ة ي ـ نز ني   الث ث و ة ت س ن م ه لا د ن ع.

A Derham earned in usury is

worse for a man in the sight of 

God than committing adultery

thirty six times.

●  ني ح ن م ة دا ب ع يف م  ىلإ أناص ائ ح ب ص  يخ رق با ت غا اذا ف ؛ ب ت غ ـي مل ا م ي س   مي

A fast person will be

worshipping God from early

morning till night, if he does

not backbite people, but his

fast will be ruined as soon as

he begins to do so.

 ة ماي ق ا.than a (barren) beautiful one.

Verily, I will pride myself on

the multitude of my nation inthe Day of Judgement.

● ما ع ط و ؛ءاو د اس خ ي ما ع طءا د ح ي ح شا.

A generous man's food is cure,

and a miser’s is disease for

sure.

● د يا ن م ر ـي خ ا ي ل عا د يا أ د او ؛ى ل ف سا

 ل و ع ـ ن  مب.

A giving hand is better than a

receiving hand, and start

charity at home.

● ل ث م ح  ا صا سي ل  جلا ل ث م مل نإ يرا اد  س ي ل  جلا ل ث م و ، ه  حير ن م ك ق ل ع هر ط ع ن م ك د  جي  ن م ك قر  حي مل نإ ري كا ب حا ص ل ث م ءو سا

 ه ن ت  ن ن م ك ق ل ع هرا  ن رار ش.

A good companion is like unto

a perfume- seller who might

spare you any perfume, but

the pleasant fragrance of his

perfumes you (can surely)

smell, and a bad companion is

like unto a blacksmith whose

flame of fire you might be

able to escape but you surely

suffer the bad smell of his

working place.

A good deed is recorded for

whoever removes a stone

from people’s path.

A group of my people will

always stick to truth for God’s

decree to be issued.

● ةن  جلا ن م  اس ا ن أ ن م نا سا  ن اىل أ نو ع ل ط  ي نو  و ق ـ ي ـ ف رانا ل ه م ا:أ ه لاو ـ ف رانا م ت ل خ د مب

 م ك ن م ا ن م ل ع ـ ا  مب الا ةن  جلا ا ن ل خ د.نو  و ق ـ ي ـ ف:ا ن ا

 ل ع ف ـن الو لو ق نـ ان ك.

A group of the people of 

Paradise will get worried

about some of the people of 

Hell, and will (therefore)

inquire: “Why are you in Hell?

By God, we did not enter

Paradise save through what

we learned from you”. The

Hell- bound reply: “We did not

practice what we preached.”

A group of you will always

resort to begging till they

(finally) meet God, with no

flesh in their faces.

● ل  ر ـي و ه قزر  يتأ  ي ف ي ضا، م و قا بو  ن ذ  ه ـن ع ص ح  مي م ه ـو  ذن م 

A guest carrys his own

sustenance, removes the

host's sins and causes them to

vanish.

● داز ا م ف ما  يأ ة   الث ث ة فا ي ضا،ة ق د ص و ه ـ ف ما  يأ ة   الث ث د ع ـ لو ح ت ـي نأ ف ي ضا ى ل ع و

A guest is a guest for three

days; the more he stays, will

he be under charity (to the

poor); and thus, a guest

should leave his host’s home

after three days.

A heart with no sign of 

wisdom is like unto a ruined

house. So, learn and teach,meditate deeply, and try not

to die in ignorance, for God

will not pardon (people for

A house wherein children (we)

miss, is bereft of bliss.

A house wherein they recite

the Quran is as (bright) to the

dwellers of the heavens as are

the stars to the

A hypocrite is devoid of two

traits: reputation and deep

knowledge of religion.

● ثال  ث ق فان م اة  يآ:ث ذا ح د ذاا ا و ؛ ب ذ ك نا خ ن م ت ـ ئا اذ ا و ؛ ف ل خ أ د ع و.

A hypocrite is known by three

characteristics: he tells lie,

breaks his (her) promise and

commits treachery in trusts.

  ني م ن غا.

A hypocrite is like unto a goat,

wandering between two

flocks (of sheep).

● ال ا م ه ق  حب ال ي  س ت خ ف ة   الث ذو:م ناف قث ط س ق ممام ا و ؛ م ل عا وذ و ؛ مال س الا يف ة ب ي شا.

A hypocrite is the one who

humiliates the learned, just

leaders and those who have

grown old in their struggles

for the cause of Islam.

A hypocrite rules over his owneyes, shedding tears as he

wishes.

A journey for the sake of God

is superior to making fifty

pilgrimages to Mecca.

A just and humble leader is

God's shade and blade on the

earth, for whom the rewards

of seventy sincere ones will be

saved.

A just and most magnanimous

man who must be observed in

brotherhood and must not be

backbitten, is the one who

treats people with justice,

speaks to them in truth and

does not break his promises.

oppressed seek.

A just leader is God's shade on

the earth. Whoever keeps him

in honor will be kept in honor

by God, and whoever

disrespects him will be

disrespected by Him.

A Little knowledge is better

than praying much.

Worshipping God suffices to

show one’s knowledge and

selfish judgment is enough to

are two groups: the faithful

and the ignorant. Do notannoy the former and do not

be a company to the latter.

better than a lot making one

negligent.

A man gains more value when

the world is less worthy in his

earth to take him, and he will

A man of the past was called

to account (after death). He

had no good deeds in his

record to present, but an

order to his agents to connive

at the debts of the helpless,

for he had been a rich

tradesman (in the world).

Thus, said the Great and

Powerful God to His angels,

“we have more rights for

connivance than him. Ignore

(his sins).”

A man set out on a journey to

pay a visit to his brother (in

faith). God sent an angel to

him on the way, asking,

“Where are you going?” The

man replied, “to see my

brother somewhere”. Theangel asked: “Is there any

blessing you wish to expand

for him?” “No, I only love him

for God’s sake”. The man

answered. The angel said: “I’m

God’s messenger to you. Godloves you as you love him”.

A man who colors his hair

black should let the woman

whose hand he seeks in

marriage know about that.

A man who has two wives andtreats them not in a just

manner, will arrive at the

Resurrection in half (of his

body).

●  رب ص ي ـ ف د ب ع ات ب يب ح ب ه ذ  الال ا ب س ت  حي و ةن  جلا ل خ د.

A man who loses his power of 

sight but keeps patient and is

satisfied with the divine will,

will surely be allowed to

Paradise.

● ن م ، ه ب س ك ن م ل جرا د  و؛ ه ب س ك ب ي طأ م  هلاو مأ ن م ا و ل ك ف.

A man’s son is among his

earnings, the best of his

earnings. So, eat from your

sons’ wealth.

ال ● ث ي ح  ط وع ا ل جرا ةال صسانا هار  ي ن  ير ش ع و  س ا مخ سانا ني عأ ىل عه  ال ص ل د ع ـ .

A man's prayer said willingly,

out of people's sight, is twenty

five times as much the prayer

he says in people's presence.

A master is not allowed to dothe following to his

bondservant: making him

haste in setting prayers,

stopping him in eating, and

leaving him satiated.

A miser has the least peace of 

mind.

A miser is he to whom they

remember me, but hesitates

to greet me.

A moment of delay on the

part of rich (to help the poor)

is cruelty.

● س  مخ م ل س ع ل ى ملا م ل س م ل  :اذ ا ه ي ل ع م ل س  ي

  ع ب ت ـي و ، ضر م اذ ا هدو ع ـي و ،ها ع د اذ ا ه ب ي  جي و ه ي ق

A Muslim has five duties

towards another Muslim:

greeting him, accepting his

call, paying him a visit in

sickness, participating in hisfuneral procession, and

wishing for him what he

A Muslim should observe the

following six in respect to his

Muslim brother: greeting himin meeting, accepting his

A Neighbor has priority (to

others) in buying his

absent, he should be awaited

for, if moving in the same lineas the seller.

significant to his neighbor as

A rich man’s request (to

people) will lead him to Hell.

A scholar who avails himself of his own knowledge is superior

to a thousand simple

worshipers (of God).

● ل م ع ـي م ل ـ ف ملا ع ا م ل ع اذ ك ا ما ناكحا ب ص   ىي ض  يه س ف ـن قر  حي و سانل  ء.

A scholar who does not act

upon his knowledge is likeunto a niche providing people

with light but burning itself.

A small family is one way to

comfort.

A sparrow killed in vain willcome to stand before God’s

Throne in the Day of

Judgment, shouting “O Lord!

Ask this man (the killer) why

he killed me for no gain?”

A strong believer is like unto a

palm tree, and a weak one

resembles a stalk.

A supposedly postponed affair

should not make you do it

hurriedly, for the Great and

the most Powerful God will

not haste for man’s hurry.

● ر كاذ نا س  و ر كا ش ب ل ـ قة  حلا ص ة جوز و ـن ـ ت كا ا م ر ـي خ ك ن  ي د و كا ي ـ ند ر مأ ىل ع ك ن ـي ع  ز 

 سانا.

A thankful heart, a mindful

tongue, and a virtuous wife

who helps man in worldly and

otherworldly affairs, are

better than whatever people

might treasure.

helplessness and debauchery.

Those living at that timeshould prefer the former on

A tree branch had blocked

people’s way and hurt them.

Somebody pulled it aside and

A truthful, trustworthy trader

will keep company with

martyrs in the Day of 

Judgement.

A wine drinker is like unto an

idol worshipper.

A woman has two veils: the

marriage bond and the grave.

● ت درأ نإ ، ع ل ضا ك ةأر ملا ل ث مه م ي ق  نأ

  ه ي ف و ه  ت ع ـ ت م ت سا ه  ت ع ـ ت م ت سا نإ و ؛ه  ر س ك دو .أ

A woman is like unto a

(tender) rib. If you intend to

straighten it, it will break, and

if you intend to avail yourself 

of it, it will offer you the

chance, though bent.

● ك ه ت ن ـ نأ ةأر م ل  س ي  ال  ا ا هلا م ن م ش ي ئ ازوج ه ا ن ذا .

A woman is not allowed to

give in charity anything of her

husband’s wealth without his

permission.

● ةر ه يف رانا ةأر م ا ت ل خ دم ل ـ ف ا ه ـت ط  رA woman was doomed to Hell,

bonds without food to die

from hunger.

A woman who shows her

beauty to the public is like

unto the dark of the Day of 

Judgment, with no light.

A woman's private prayer is

twenty five times as much the

prayer she says in the

presence of men.

● الإ ه ن س  ش ي خا ش اب مر كأ امه لا ض ي ـ ق س د ن عه مر ك  ي ن م ه ن 

A young man who honors an

oldster because of his old age,

will be honored in old age by

someone appointed by God to

do so.

Abandon hues and cries,

myriad (unnecessary)

Abandonment of prayer

connects a servant of God todisbelief.

Ablution before eating makes

poverty perish, and after

eating removes obsession and

strengthens eyesight.

Ablution is half of faith, and

tooth brushing is half of 

ablution.

Abominables lie on the way to

Paradise, and passions pave

Abstain from the (material)

world, and beloved to God

you will turn out to be, and

connive at people’s

possessions and they’ll come

to love thee.

● م ك ن  ي د ر ـي خعروا.

Abstinence is the best feature

of your faith (religion).

● 

ب ل قا ح  ير   ن يا ي يف اد د هزا، ن د با و  ن د باو ب ل قا ب ع ت ـ اهيفة ب غراو.

Abstinence refreshes one's

body and soul, and

worldliness makes them

suffer.

● ب ل قا ح  ير   ن يا ي يف اد د هزا، ن د با و

ـ ق س ي ة  اب طان و ؛ نز  وحلا  م هلا ر ث ك  اهيف ة ب غرا و ب ل قا.

Abstinence refreshes one's

body and soul, worldliness

increases one's Sorrows, anddebauchery hardens one's

heart.

man), even if he is an enemy

friend or a companion.

Accomplishing a good deed is

better than beginning it,

(indeed).

Acquire knowledge and

through it, peace (of mind)

and soberness gain, and to

your teacher humble remain.

Act upon marriage as a

tradition, for I feel proud of 

your great population.

Actions depend on (are

rewarded according to)

intentions.

to seditions as dark as nights,

when man will be a believer in

the morning and an

unbeliever at night, when

some people will barter their

faith for unworthy wealth of

the following: Telling lie in war

for war is deceit, telling

women a lie to please them,

of worshipping (God) and

praying makes the other half,

and when the Exalted God

wishes good for someone He

will make his heart inclined

All holders of knowledge

hunger for new knowledge.

Judgement, save that which is

pretentious- those who (for

instance) commit debauchery

but reveal it themselves at

dearest to Him are the most

beneficial for their own

All sons of Adam are jealous,

and a person’s jealousy willnot be harmful unless (s (he

expresses it or puts it into

Alms-giving is a bridge to

An hour of seeking knowledge

is better than praying one

whole night, and a day of 

seeking knowledge is better

than fasting three months.

An hour of standing in the line

of holy war (jihad) for the

An ignorant man oppresses

his companions, is cruel to his

subjects, shows vanity against

great men and speaks

foolishly.

An ignorant worshipper is like

unto a millstone ass.

An illegitimate child is worse

than his parents, should he

commit adultery.

An oath depends on the

intention of the oath- taker.

An old man can feel young forloving two things: long life

and abundant wealth.

for the seekers of knowledge,

for they are pleased with what

they seek.

Angels spread out their wings

in satisfaction for whoever

leaves his home in search of 

knowledge, until he returns.

ملا و ، رانا ن مب ض غ اذا ف ، رانا ء ل س ت غ ـي ل ـ ف م كد حأ.

Anger belongs to Satan, Satan

was created from fire, and fire

can be put out by water. Thus,

when one of you gets angry, (s

Another preferable way is

permissible among Muslims,

save one by which the lawful

is made unlawful and vice

versa.

Any group of people among

whom usury and bribery

prevail will be respectively

afflicted with famine and

Apart from sincerity (in faith),

you are not endowed with

anything like safety. So, ask

God for it.

Appointed to a job, be kind to

and forgive your subordinates.

ال ● ه لا م ع  ن راو ج او ن س ح ـ ق ل م اأ ف ؛اهور ف ن ـ  ي ه م ا تدا ع ـ ف م و ـ ق ن ع ت از.

Appreciate God’s blessings

given to you, and let them not

vanish, for a lost blessing will

hardly be regained.

gives birth to a child, she will

be offered a reward for eachdrop of milk she produces and

for each time her breast is

As long as a man truly guides

those who consult him he

continues to enjoy correctness

of opinion, but as soon as he

starts deceiving them, the

Exalted God will deprive him

of this blessing.

Ask for generosity from the

Merciful among my people,

not from the hardhearted,

and live under the protection

Ask God (to give you) of His

bounties, for he likes asking

Him. The best act of worship is

hard times).

Ask God (to give you) useful

knowledge, and take refuge

with Him from useless

knowledge.

● ي ش ك ل ه لا او ل سىت ح ءه لا ،ف إن ع س شا  مل نإر س ي ـ ت ـي ملهر س ي ـي.

Ask God for everything, even a

shoelace; for should He not

wish success, to nothing will

Ask God for good health and

cure of all illness here and in

the Hereafter; for if you are

granted these in this world

and in the next, you will be

prosperous.

Ask God for good health and

forgiveness; for apart from

certainty, no one has been

bestowed anything better

than prosperity.

وا؛ ● د شر ـ ل قا ع ا او د شر ـت س ـ ع ص وها الوم وا د ن ـ ت ـ ف.

Ask guidance from the wise to

find the straight path, and do

not disobey them; otherwise,

you will become remorseful.

Ask your heart for what’s false

or true, and let others say

Asking forgiveness (from God)

rubs off sins.

Assign people their due status

(value) of good and evil.

Assure me of six things, and I

will ensure you of entering

Paradise: avoidance of telling

lie, avoidance of breaking your

promise, keeping away from

treachery to trusts, closing

your eyes on the unlawful,

controlling your hands and

restraining your privy parts.

ع لى كل ● بجا و ة ع م  جلا حاورم ل ت  حمAttending the Friday ritual

prayer is obligatory for all

mature people.

 ا ● ف امن ءاف ع ضا ينو غ ـ ـ ن ص رونـأ و نوقز ر  م ك   ض ع ف ائ .

Attending the weak is paying

attention to me, for your

sustenance and its support (by

God) is for the sake of them.

Avail yourself of five things

before five other things: youth

before oldness, health before

illness, wealth before need,

convenience before

inconvenience and life before

death.

● م ع ـ ن ك م ا أ ك س ف ـن ىل ع م ع ن .ال هع ل ي كأ

Avail yourself of what God has

made available for you.

ف انـ ه ا ● سانا ن ع كر ش م ن كك ف ة ق د ص ك س ف ـن ىل ع.

Avoid doing evil to people, for

it is charity you give for

yourself.

؛ ف ا �ا ● ر م  خلا او ب ن ت ج ش را ك ل حا ت ف م.

Avoid drinking wine, for it is

verily the key to all evils.

● يف مار  حلا ر ج  حلا او ق ـ س اسا أ ه نا ف ؛ ناي ن ـ ب ا بار  خلا.

Avoid using (even one piece

of) unlawfully- earned stone in

(your) building, for the very

stone causes its collapse.

● ، ص ربا ن م م ر ن يا أ اد كر ـ ن م ش د أ وAvoidance of bidding to good

results in disgrace here and

Fire in the

  يف ف و ـ ي سا م ط حل جو ع ز ه لا ل ي ب س.Hereafter.

●  ص ربا  جر ف ا را ظ ت ن ةا دا ب ع.

Awaiting betterment (in life), is

servitude to God if coupled with

patience.

عاء ،وال ● اد الإ ءا ض قا إالال يـ رد ر م عا يف د  يز  ي

  ربا.

Awaiting prayers by God’s

servants is (in fact) saying prayers.
