• Cornwall Life magazine uses the regional identity of its location to appeal not only to residents of Cornwall, but to a wider population e.g. Tourists.

• The image itself has many connotations Cornwall, with the coastal scene and surfers, thereby enhancing the identity of the magazine.

• The fisherman also enhances the regional identity as Cornwall is known for its fishing industry supporting the magazine and what region it focuses on as well as the content it will contain

• An effective feature of the cover is the variation of cover lines, printed in different colours. However, the substantial size of ‘Newquay’ overshadows the masthead

• Yet Newquay may be bigger and bolder as it is the place where it is most attractive to readers and will entice them to visit there

Life boasts an array of images, all of which connote the British coastline.

• Whilst the font sizes are well-varied, the text itself is a little overwhelming at first glance. There is a lot of info for the reader to read going against conventions of a contents being simple yet there's more interests for the reader to read on

• The positioning of the images is an issue; they are clustered at the top of the pages, leaving much blank space below.

• The images reveal the many features of cornwall and interests through the images from skydiving over the sea to fishing, picnics and beautiful coastal features and beaches to explore

• The image is the main centre of attention as it shows a luxury house giving an interpretation of the beauty of Cornwall and its houses, an attractive house is going to entice people especially in this target audience when readers may be thinking of retiring so may be attracted to retire there as it looks tranquil and calming

• The company helpful holidays promote the area with the name of the company being in bigger font to stand out

• Yet it features a website and contact number as standard code and conventions for s typical magazine

• More attractive to users due to its success of being No1 for the second year running meaning more chance of attracting readers
