Solution

I. General Information:

1. The latest version of 'brdb6brt' offers the same functionality like

the executables 'brdb6rts', 'brdb6rtr' and the 'brdb6brt' in versions

< 46D.

2. You can use the latest version of 'brdb6brt' on all SAP systems

starting from 3.1I, if a DB2 Version 6.1 or higher is used.

II. Installation:

1. Download 'brdb6brt.CAR/SAR' from SAP Service Marketplace to a

temporary directory:

a) Enter the following URL:

http://service.sap.com/PATCHES

b) In the navigation tree, choose:

for 700:

- for 32 Bit SAP Kernels:

SAP NETWEAVER <version>-> Entry by Component -> Application

Server ABAP ->SAP KERNEL 700 32-BIT (UNICODE or none UNICODE)

-> <operating system> -> DB2 UDB

- for 64 Bit SAP Kernels:

SAP NETWEAVER <version> -> Entry by Component -> Application

Server ABAP ->SAP KERNEL 700 64-BIT (UNICODE or none UNICODE)-> <operating system> ->DB2 UDB

- for 64 Bit SAP Kernels:

2. To extract 'brdb6brt.CAR/SAR' using SAPCAR, enter the following

command:

SAPCAR -xvf brdb6brt.CAR/SAR

3. Copy 'brdb6brt.exe' to directory:

UNIX: /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/exe/run

Windows: <drive>:\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\SYS\exe\run
