In SP15, the wizard displays only FPN producer aliases and SAP_LocalSystem - if you would like to use a standard system alias for the Application Integrator, please choose SAP_LocalSystem in the wizard, open the iView for edit and change the system property to the requested system alias. SAP Note 1140854 - Integrate remote BI 7.X reports intocentral portal with AI

Note Language: English Version: 7 Validity: Valid Since 07.04.2009

Summary

Symptom

After upgrading to SAP NetWeaver 7.0 < SPS 13 working with BI 7.x iViews

could be done with the following integration options:

1. BI Java separate: set up a federated portal network and define the BI

Portal as a producer

2. BI Java locally: the iView's system property equals to SAP_LocalSystem

As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 > SP 13 (exact versions see below in paragraph

"Solution"), you have one more integration option available:

1. BI Java separate - general recommendation: integrate remote BI 7.x

iViews with Application Integrator. This means that iViews linking to BI

reports are created locally in your central SAP NetWeaver Portal. These

iViews are based on a system alias (created in the portal system landscape)that points to a BI7 portal.

2. BI Java separate - reasonable alternative: set up a federated portal

network and define the BI Portal as a producer.

3. BI Java locally: the iView's system property equals to SAP_LocalSystem

In addition for the integration option via "Application Integrator", from

the versions below the BI 7.x iView creation wizard supports choosing a

system alias from the local system landscape.

In SP15, the wizard displays only FPN producer aliases and SAP_LocalSystem- if you would like to use a standard system alias for the Application

Integrator, please choose SAP_LocalSystem in the wizard, open the iView for

edit and change the system property to the requested system alias.
