We use comparative adjectives (형용사 ) when we compare

TWO people or things.We use “-er” or “more.”We also THAN after the

adjective.

Rules for forming comparative adjectives

1. For most adjectives with one syllable, we add –er.



Syllable = the division of words

sick = sick (1)stylish = sty – lish (2)

important = im – por – tant (3)

understanding = un – der – stan – ding (4)
