검은 수인번호와 그늘진 이름들이

언 바닥에서 껌벅거린다

가슴속에 울화를 시로 삭히기 위하여

큰 산 하나 허물며 비유를 한다

그럴 때마다 실 끊어진 방패연처럼

머리를 흔들며 추락하는 수인들

내가 시를 만드는 것이 아니라

시가 나를 만드는 것이다 라고

나를 가두고 나서야

세상이 넓게 보인다고

뜨겁게 가슴을 허물어 내린다

수인들은 담 안에 갇혀 있으면서도

다시 담 밖에 갇혀 있다고

감방에서 죄의 시간을 도려내면서

열루의 시를 읊조린다

소변을 보고 바가지로 물을 뜨니

물을 뜬 만큼의 자리에 달은

가라앉아 더 깊이 잠기고

내 몸 속 어디엔가 박혀 있었던

색이 바랜 노란 더러움은

달이 내어준 물에 희석돼 씻겨 갑니다

내게 주어진 시간이

양동이의 물처럼 줄어들고 있다는 생각을 하면

저 달도 더 가라앉기 전에 건져내어
