Action Research of Mind Mapping on Writing Teaching for Grade 6 Elementary School Students

    Abstract

This study adopts act ion research to discuss the influence of mind

mapping writ ing teaching towards writ ing resul ts of grade 6 elementary

school students , the difficult posi t ion that might encounter when

implementing teaching and i ts solut ion, and the special ized knowledge

that the researcher has obtained. The study objects are the 33 grade 6

students of researcher s class; methods such as observat ion, document

collect ion, and interviewing are used during the study process so as to

carry out data analysis and interpretat ion. The result of this s tudy is as

    follows:

Mind mapping writing teaching has posit ive inf luence towards

    the students writing performance

Students conception style has posit ive change, their writ ing

capaci ty increases significantly , and their writ ing speed has a bet ter

    result .

Mind mapping writing teaching is contributive to change the

students writing attitudes to become posit ive and enthusiastic.

Through the sharing and mutual help between teachers and students ,

nice and warm class atmosphere is created so as to reduce wri t ing

anxiety , so that the s tudents can have competence of wri t ing gradually,

and thus the students wri t ing at t i tudes have posit ive change.
