A comprehensive technique to be carried out for

awareness and education.

Instead of giving cash prizes , resources like

books , study materials should be given .

Conducting awareness camps, seminars for

rural areas to let them know about their rights.

Along with academics ,other vocational

training and self defense techniques should be

given.

If a girl child is deprived of education or if she is obstructed to go school then her

parents should be prosecuted & punished

accordingly..

Fighting Female Foeticide… The existing laws has clearly not succeeded in banning the determination of sex, so here’s what could be

done..

Pairing every sex determining machine with a tracker (with a unique no.), For e.g. emei no. Of mobile devices so every time it activates a data sheet is been sent to the centre installed at every city.

It could be done in the following ways-

EMEI NO. = xyz Machine Activated = emei.xyz

Sex determination

Unique number

Given to every

machine available

CENTRE

A data sheet generated giving

inf. About the number of

machine being used.

IMPLEMENTATION

Page 8: khwaish05

POLITICAL Their role in decision making

should be encouraged.

Their voice should be entertained & should be given

priority.

ECONOMICAL New employment resources

could be generated exclusively for women belonging to

marginalized section of society.

Women society should be motivated through seminars to

uplift their financial condition by forming SHG’s.

SOCIAL Training related to self- defense should be given to the female

section of society in a compulsory manner.

The prejudiced ideology that weakens the female

empowerment should be eradicated from society.

e.g.- females are made for household works.

The First Step…

MERITS OF PROPOSED SOLUTION

OVER EXSISTING ALTERNATIVES

Existing Alternative Merits of Proposed Solution

The present alternatives are just a paper

work in a wider sense, the implemented

programs are not executed as they are framed.

The extent of corruption in every hierarchal

level of our present system is responsible for

improper execution of plans.

In recent times the existing “Manila helpline”

is less accountable.

The new government formed puts the pre-

executed plan in “dustbin”.

The proposed solutions would let

them in proper execution because of the

involvement of common people in

relevant programmes directly.

The formation of public committees

headed by a dignified leader from non-

political background will reduce the

level of corruption & thus

implementation of programmes will be

more effective & efficient.

The recruitment of more female

officers would enhance their

accountability, since every call would get

response from female police officers.

The proposed solution provides

amendment against these rules.

to the authorized head directly without any middle man.

The money deposited in Swiss banks should be restrained

back.

The money blocked in scams should be recovered.

Donations from celebrities & high-profile citizens.

Charitable events could be organized to gather funds.

Funds collected by N.G.O’s .

IMPACT OF SOLUTION

CRITERIA TO MEASURE THE IMPACT

• Statistics obtained after and before the survey would help us to determine the impact of implemented programs.

• Interactive seminars & session in regular interval would help to understand the mindset & “change in thinking” of people.

• Decrease in crime rate against women is also an effective parameter to judge the effect of implemented programs.

SCALABILITY

• The solution could be implemented step-by-step ,since enacting them all at a time would not help in analyzing the effect.

• The proposed program should be initiated from the ground-root level & then expanding it on a broader scale depending on the success level.

MONITORING

MECHANISMS

• A regular survey by the field staff will certainly yield in analyzing the effect of enacted programs. E.g..- Reuters survey etc..

• Increase in involvement of women in those areas where their participation were less or not appreciable in earlier times.

• Increase in women voters to 49%, have shown their increased participation.

Possible Challenges to the solutions

Mitigation

The execution of laws is difficult because of the

irresponsible attitude of the law executing bodies.

The formation of such organizations initially is

opposed by the society due to the pre-existing norms

and superstitions.

The working of such organizations are

constantly interrupted by the political domain.

Overcoming the obstructions…
