A Better View of the World
Sports Optics
As our
society
becomes more
technologically
advanced and we fi nd
ourselves spending less
and less time communing with
nature, we feel that the time we do
spend becomes more important for
our overall wellbeing and inner balance.
Enhancing our outdoor experience is the viewing of nature and wildlife in its natural setting. Even though the human eye represents the fi nest and
most sophisticated optical instrument ever designed, it may require manmade optical
mechanical assistance from time to time to take in all of nature’s glorious beauty!
Meopta products are designed and built to enhance the viewing experience of even the most demanding professional. We strongly recommend you make a Meopta optical product part of your regular outdoor experience, for an even Better View of the World !

• Lightweight, onepiece, aircraft grade aluminum alloy tube• Unique internal mechanism design ensures top mechanical ruggedness• Excellent optical performance• Multiple antirefl ection coatings MB5501 ensuring light transmission of 92% – 95% (depending on the model)• Reticle in the rear focal plane (except for the model Meostar R1 312x56) A nitrogen purged and sealed body for fog proof and water proof performance• Quadratic windage and elevation adjustments with a step of ¼ in / 100 yd, i.e. 0,7cm / 100m
The most technologically advanced series of new generation rifl escopes that meet the needs of the most demanding users. The tube is made of the highest grade aluminum alloy which allows the surface of the device to be black anodized. This surface treatment is molecularly bonded to the aluminum alloy, making the tube surface extremely chemical resistant. In addition, the surface is treated by a special technology so that no fi nger prints can be seen and it is pleasant to touch. The antirefl ection coating MB5501 makes use of the latest technology in the fi eld, and is applied to all optical components, ensuring the top light transmission values for the rifl escopes.
The Meostar R1 14x22 model with illuminatedKDot reticle is specifi cally designed for huntingin the daytime as well as low light situations. Arifl escope versatile enough for use as adangerous game hunting scope as it is inclose quarter combat situations. Atmaximum intensity, the KDot reticle isvisible in sunny conditions, while at itslowest settings, still ideal for late dawn orearly dusk. With magnifi cation set to 1xpower and the reticle illuminated, therifl escope may be used a short range, close quarter sighting device, by allowingthe user to keep both eyes open. Thisallows for a clear, substantially improvedfi eld of view while also providing quick targetacquisition. The illumination adjustment(located to the left of the elevation turret) offers
seven levels of intensity (with seven being thebrightest) with halfclick on/off positions. Off
positions are signifi ed by a dot, while numbers 17indicate the illumination intensity. This unique feature
allows for a quick return to the previously used intensityinstead of having to cycle thru the entire adjustment range each time the illumination is turned off. The service lifeof the CR 2354 battery (included) is roughly 80 continuous hours, while a more readily available CR 2032 batterymay also be used, however the service life is only about 60 continuous hours. The Meostar R1 RD 7x56 and 312x56 models are designed for hunting in extreme low light conditions at earlydawn or late dusk. Many prized animals can only be found moving about during these diffi cult low light conditions, and the Meostar R1 RD models will help ensure that you do not miss out on the potential trophy of a lifetime.

A rifl escope designed to meet the needs of serious longrange shooters. Designed with an adjustable objective for
setting zero parallax at distances from 3 meters to infi nity, as well as low profi le target knobs, enabling fast fi eld
setting of the line of sight (reticle crosshairs center) in terms of the target distance and relevant windage
adjustment. The covered adjustment knobs have single click values of 0,7 mm/100 m, 1/4 in/100 yd or 1/4 MOA.
The vertical scale serves for orientation when turning the knob by more than 360°. The elevation knob allows for
calibration of bullet drop at any known distance and can be reset to zero. The windage knob allows for quick
left/right adjustment to compensate for bullet drift due to cross winds. Fitted with a MilDot style reticle this scope
enables the user to quickly and precisely determine the exact distance of an intended target at
virtually any range.
Use of MilDot style crosshairs
The dots placed on the stadia equal an angle of 1 m at 1000 m, or 1
milliradian. In military terminology this angle is called 1 mil. The distance D
can be determined by a simple calculation using the formula D = 1000 x H /
h, where H stands for the actual target height in meters and h stands for its
angular height in scale divisions. For very precise
range fi nding it is therefore necessary to know the exact target height. With
experience in approximate target size, very accurate estimates of the
distance to the target can be made. With an adult Roebuck body trunk
height estimated to be 0.5 m and as seen in the illustration the distance is
calculated as follows: D = 1000 x 0.5 / 6 = 83 m. Caution! The above
method of range fi nding provides correct results only with rifl escope set on
the maximum magnifi cation, i.e. 16x.
Meostar R1 MR with railThe models with rails of theZeiss type are dedicated forspecial mounts without rings.
MeosightIntroduced in 2008, the Meopta Meosight is the fi rst of our offerings totarget the ever growing Red Dot Sight market. An extremely compactrefl ex sight designed for immediate close quarter target acquisition andaccurate shooting, the Meosight is quickly becoming a favorite of lawenforcement and military personnel across the globe. At just 55 grams, the Meosight is a perfect fi t for handguns, tactical shotguns and tacticalrifl es of all shapes and sizes.• Compact and easy to use• Waterproof• Red Dot offers fi ve levels of intensity adjustment, ideal for various shooting conditions• The Meosight’s internal systems monitors battery life and will shut off after three hours of inactivity.• Low battery life is indicated by a blinking red dot• Sight is fully compatible with Docter sight mounts• 3MOA and 5MOA models available

Traditional rifl escope series in the truest sense of the
word. It offers favorite and proven models made of
traditional materials. The solid steel tube is the
distinctive feature of the whole Artemis 2000 and
2100 series.
Top shock resistance, excellent optical power,
watertightness and elegant, fully functional design
these are the properties that will be appreciated both
by newcomers, as well as by professionals for whom
hunting is an inseparable part of their lifestyles.
• Steel tube (except for the model Artemis 3000 39x42)
• Unique internal mechanism design ensures the pinnacle
of mechanical ruggedness
• Excellent optical performance
Multiple
antirefl ective coatings
ensure light transmission of 87%
– 90% (depending on the model)
• Reticle in the front focal plane (except for
the model Artemis 3000 39x42)
• A nitrogen purged and sealed body for fog proof
and water proof performance
• Quadratic windage and elevation adjustments with step
of 1cm / 100m (except for the model Artemis 3000
39x42, which has the step of 1/4 in / 100 yd, i.e.
0,7cm / 100m)
The Artemis 2100 series offers an illuminated center dot
for hunting in low light conditions.
The illumination of the center dot under normal daylight
conditions is observable only when set on intensity level
6 or 7, so that no matter how small the target is, it will not
be overwhelmed or lost in the brightness of the dot when
illuminated. The brightness levels can be adjusted with
the knob on the left side of the elevation turret in seven
steps marked 17 (with 7 being the brightest). The
interpositions marked with a dot, provide an interim off
position between each intensity level, allowing for quick,
single click on and off operation. The service life of the
original battery, a CR2354, is roughly 80 hours. It is also
possible to use a more readily available battery, the
CR2032, which has a service life of about 60 hours.

Tube construction, steel or aluminum alloyThe question of which is better for rifl escope tube construction, Steel orAluminum, has been pondered for many years, and the answer still remainsthe same. Both have properties that make each one of them advantageous.Steel tubes are the most resistant to external damage, while aluminum alloyoffers a lighter product. But both provide strong durable outer protection forthe internal mechanism and optics when used properly. Meopta is proud to beable to offer both. If getting the highest level of strength and durability is mostimportant, then try our Artemis 2000 or 2100 Series. If weight is your mainconcern, then our Artemis 3000 and MeostarTM series are just what you arelooking for. Construction of Meopta rifl escopes with steel tubes offers anadditional advantage. As with virtually any material, an extreme temperaturechange can cause expansion and contraction and thus vary the alignment ofinner and outer mechanisms, resulting in minor shifts in parallax at 100 M.However, with the consistent properties of steel we are able design and buildrifl escopes that control this problem. As a result, null parallax shift at 100 M inproduction means null parallax shift at 100 M in the hottest African or thecoldest Alaskan environment!
Quadratic course of adjustmentQuadratic course of adjustment means that windage and elevation adjustmentsare mutually independent and as such, guarantees a full range of movement inany direction. The illustration below shows a comparison of a full range ofadjustment for a Meopta rifl escope and a „noname“ rifl escope. You will note that insome directions, the adjustment range of the „noname“ rifl escope exceeds theMeopta range. However, in important (especially in the diagonal or windagedirection) directions it attains insuffi cient adjustment range. Irregular circumferenceof the adjustment fi eld of the „noname“ scope indicates that horizontal and verticalmovements are not independent (especially in extreme positions) and are eachaffected when only one is adjusted, i.e., when turning the windage adjustment knob the reticle also moves in thevertical or elevation direction.
Reticle in front or rear focal planePlacement of the reticle (crosshairs) in the front focal plane (behind the objective lens) means that with increasedmagnifi cation both the target image and the reticle thickness increase (Artemis 2000, 2100; MeostarR1 312x56 model offer front focal plain reticles). Placing the reticle in the rear focal plane (in front of the eyepiece)allows the reticle to maintain its virtual size throughout the entire magnifi cation range. (The Meostar series offer thereticle in the rear focal plain, see the chart below)So shortly:• all fi xed magnifi cation rifl escopes are not affected by the reticle position• a reticle positioned in the front focal plane enables the user to use the reticle distance estimation scale and opitches of thick lines for measuring distance at any magnifi cation.
Meostar R1r 312x56Contrary to its predecessor (Meostar R1 312x56 model) Meostar R1r 312x56 has the reticle located in the rear focus plane, which logically makes the Meostar R1 line complete.
Use of the distance scale with 4A, 4B reticlesTo use the distance scale in your rifl escope, simply line up the target or the portionof the target, whose height you estimate to be 0.5 m (this dimension is indicated by thenumber 0.5 to the left of the scale), on the bottom line in the ranging scale. Once youhave done this then the number that coincides with the top of your target indicates thetargets distance in hundreds of meters. For example, if the body trunk height of an adultRoebuck is estimated to be 0.5 m, then as seen in the illustration this Roebuck is approximately 200 meters awayfrom the shooter.

KODAS (Club for Protection of Birds of Prey and Owls, branch of Children of the Earth) is a nonprofi t group of
people who are extremely concerned with the fate of
endangered birds of prey and owls. They realize the dire
situations of these birds and have banded together to
change this dismal state. In all KODAS projects, they strive
to create conditions where birds of prey and owls can return
to their environment, protect their nests during nesting times
and to change the general attitude towards these amazing
and graceful birds.
The main objective of the Falco project is to provide vigilant
protection to endangered nests of rare birds of prey within
the framework of Action Falco and Action Aquila. The
secondary mission is to monitor areas where illegal bird
traffi cking is at its worst and to bring light to these socalled
“bird crimes”.
For observing nests and birds KODAS uses MeoptaMeostar S1 spotting scopes and Meostar B1 binoculars

High quality digiscoping has never been as easy and affordable as it is with the
new Meopta DP1 30x eyepiece. The Meopta DP1 30x eyepiece enables you to
capture an image while still observing the image through the eyepiece. You do not
have to interrupt your observation to take a picture, nor do you need to invest in
an expensive device that merges those two functionalities. All you need is your
favorite digital camera, fi tted to the Meopta DP1 30x eyepiece by means of the
camera’s tripod thread. Then, simply
observe and capture images as you
desire.
• Meopta DP1 30x eyepiece fi ts most
compact digital cameras with an optical
zoom span of up to 6x. The Meopta DP1 30x does not
work with SLR and DSLR cameras.
• In many instances, pictures will be bordered by a black
frame with rounded corners. This is normal, but can be
edited using any photo editing software, if so desired.
• For best results, it is important to minimize vibrations in your
digiscoping setup. A solid tripod is a must, while a remote
shutter release offers a signifi cant advantage.
Digiscoping with DSLR cameras• The Meopta Photoadapter is designed for digiscoping with single lens refl ex (SLR) cameras.
The Photoadapter transforms your Meostar spotting scope into an 800mm telephoto lens.• A Tring is used to connect the standardized thread of the Photoadapter to your camera’s body.
Trings are brand specifi c and can be purchased for your brand of camera at any good camera shop.• Compatible with most SLR and DSLR cameras

The design of our TGA 75 draw tube spotting scope offers superior light transmission, edge to edge image
resolution and clarity, stemming from our fully multi coated lenses and prisms. The draw tube design allows for
quick set up, using an 1/4“ or 3/4“ tripod mount, or simply a rock or tree for support. The TGA 75 has a secure grip
and provides smooth and precise focusing. This collapsible (9.5 inches) and easy to carry light weight (40.6 ounce)
scope is ideal for use in the fi eld and especially on the move! The noise and shock dampening rubber armor makes
this water and dust resistant scope extremely rugged and a must for any serious
backpacker or hunter. The eyepieces for Meopta TGA 75 and Meostar S1 75
are mutually interchangeable except for the 30x WAR
ranging eyepiece, which can only be used with the
TGA 75.
Meopta H75 30x WAR
The Meopta H75 30x WAR is a fi xed power wideangle eyepiece, which has
been designed for the TGA 75. What makes this eyepiece unique is that it has
been fi tted with a ranging reticle (cross) enabling the user to estimate the
distance of the object being observed. Use of the ranging reticle to estimate
distance:
The dash lines placed from top to bottom on thin lines subtend the angle of 1
m at 1000 m, i.e. 1 milliradian. In military terminology this angle is called 1 mil.
The distance D can be determined by a simple calculation using the formula D
= 1000 x H / h, where H stands for the actual target height in meter and h
stands for its angular height in scale divisions. For precise range fi nding it is
necessary for the user to know the exact or estimated target height. For
example, the estimated height of an adult Roebuck body trunk is 0.5 m and
with angular height in the reticle screen as seen in the illustration below the
distance is calculated as follows: D = 1000 x 0,5 /h = 125 m.
