Cut/Fill Process/CompactProduction

Cut/FillLearned how to make scrapers efficient and the best ways to move dirt.Only want to move it once.Start on one side of thee cut and work your way over. Same with fill. Fill in 1 lifts, then compact. Process/CompactSmooth drum and padded drum are used for compacting purposes. Scrapers will wheel roll the fill they are working on to compact material.ProductionTime is of the essence. How long the scrapers spend in the cut/fill, dump times, and haul times. 4

Form workTakes a long time to form up walls, short time to strip. Deck forms by Peri.Pre-built wall forms, using a snap tie and whaler fastening system.Slump tests and adding water to the concrete deliveries. Concrete pour coordination. Site set up (pad for pump truck). Ordering the right sized pump.Figuring out the correct amount of concrete needed. Ideal to have 2 concrete trucks at pump at the same time.

Form Work Snap ties and whalers used as the fastening system to secure wall forms. Deck forms purchased by Peri were used to place the cast in place deck.

What can improve?Coordination with interns getting to projects.

Moving/SettlingNot having to pay for everything upfront with personal money. Less stressful during last few weeks of school. 17
