SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The Hitachi Aloka Noblus is a premiumportable ultrasound system thatsupports multiple applications overa wide range of clinical environments.
All circuits related to image quality arefully digital which allows for high spatialresolution, high contrast resolution anda wide dynamic range. The removableconsole contains an internal batteryallowing examinations to be performedeven when an external power source isnot available. Noblus also supportswireless LAN for DICOM communication.
A full complement of linear, convex andphased array transducers are availablefor Noblus allowing the ultimate inclinical flexibility.
CLINICAL USES

STANDARD IMAGEQUALITY FEATURES
HI Definition Tissue
Harmonic Imaging (HdTHI)Extends penetration and increasesresolution by employing a low-frequencysub-harmonic band to create a largersecond harmonic band.
HI Compound Imaging (HI Com)
Is especially beneficial for improving thevisibility of luminal structures. HI Comtransmits and receives ultrasound beamsin various directions and superimposesthe resultant images in real time.
Adaptive Imaging (HI REZ+)Utilizes the Hitachi Alokas high speeddigital processing engine to extractstructures and emphasize tissueswithout reducing frame rate.
Fine FlowDisplays high-definition, high frame ratecolor doppler images down to finevessels with minimal blooming.
STANDARD WORKFLOW EFFICIENCY
HI SupportReduces examination time by allowing
time gain compensation, B mode gain, base line, pulse repetition frequency anddoppler gain, etc. to be adjusted with asingle touch.
On-Board User ManualUser Manual Is integrated with theapplication allowing for convenientuser guidance.
Examination Data Management
and Storage
Noblus stores full-fidelity images, measurements, and other data internallyand can also copy information to USBand USB HDD.
Auxiliary Monitor SupportNoblus has a DVI-D connector standardfor auxiliary monitor attachment.

Optional Features
Real-time Tissue Elastography
Allows the virtual palpitation of tissuewithin the ultrasound beam. The stiffnessof different tissues are represented bydistinct colors which are superimposedon the B -mode image. This feature cangreatly contribute to the detection ofimpalpable tumors and can aid theclinician in determining where to biopsy.
IMT Measurement
To aid in the detection of the presenceof atherosclerotic disease. Automaticallymeasures Intima Media Thickness (IMT).
In addition to three-point measurement,Max and Mean IMT can be measuredand graphed.
Extended Field of View
The ability to visualize extended anatomyin a single image. The steerable field ofview eliminates excessive transducermovement and increases patient comfort.
Real Time 3D Imaging (4D)
Compact and lightweight probes supportthe acquisition of real time volume datawith high visibility.
Real-time Doppler
Measurement Function
Automatically traces and measuresDoppler waveforms in real time.
Reduces examination time by cuttingoperation steps of freezing and tracing. The waveform being measured and Vp,Vd can be displayed with markers inreal time.
Spatio-temporal Image
Correlation (STIC):
STIC is a function to display any crosssection or 3D image from any angle,as one heartbeat.
Contributes to detailed evaluations byenabling observation from variouscross sections.
Multi-slice image with 2.5 mm intervals
of the fetal heart using STIC, gestational
age of 26 weeks and 6 days.
The 2 ventricles, atria and descending
aorta are clearly depicted.
Contrast Agent Harmonics* Contrast-enhanced ultrasound** can be
used to image blood perfusion and flowrate in the heart and other organs.
**Contrast enhanced image of a focal
liver mass.
DICOM Store (Storage Commit)
DICOM Print
DICOM Query/Retrieve
* Ultrasound contrast agents have not been
cleared for use in the USA by the FDA.
